Vodafone Newbie, 30 Sep 2009I understand phones, believe it or not it is a pre-requisit... moreThey already are flying off the shelves, we can't get enough of them.
Just think of all the wasted posts from the Nokia sheep, they achieved nothing, building their little sandcastles of missing features, the iPhone just swept in like the tide and washed them away.
Worthless, meaningless words.

Anonymous, 30 Sep 2009Apple just called, there looking for someone to head there ... moreIf it was left to you old chum, we would still be walking around with the old bricks that weighed more than a small country. Hey, but that is alright because the technology inside is bang up to date and the public love them. Time to enter the 21st century old boy!!!

By your own comparison, car makers who slightly change the spec on their cars without changing the aesthetics, notice poorer sales as a result.
In my opinion I think the iPhone is long overdue a makeover. In doing this the iPhone will fly off the shelves once more.

600MHz ARM 8, 256MB RAM PowerVR graphics.
You mustn't know much about phone's if you can't appreciate that difference.
It's like a car doubling the horsepower between one model and the next, while retaining the same body shape.

Why would anyone buy a 3G iphone from Voda? They really dont have the 3G network capabilities to support this phone. It's akin to trying to run a Ferrari on diesel. O2 struggled in this area too. Orange are leaving the others in the dust when it comes to 3G networks.
Newbie you may think the iphone looks dated but they general public love it and thats what they want.

Guys, the only winner in all of this is going to be Apple. Sure, Vodafone will win back a few customers, but the iPhone is old news and looking a bit dated. How long can Apple draw this episode out until they release yet another look-a-like phone? Come on Apple, show some imagination...

Win7RTM, 30 Sep 2009Why should people be interested in your 24/7 for-Apple anti... moreI've seen plenty of smart, mentally-stable iPhone users in real life. Same goes for symbian. But here on the internet, all logic is throw out the window. You might as well have said "Apple sucks" and kept the flame war going. I know that sounds pessimistic mate, but fanboyism will never die regardless of compromise. With that done, let me get you some popcorn and soda.

What you fail to realize with that whole "how you gonna run .sis on Maemo", is that people have been making apps on Maemo 4. Why would anyone try to run .sis on Maemo?! ROFL. You always fail to compromise with anyone, but that's the kind of marketing Apple does. So elitist. deep space bar might not be able to compromise, but other Symbian users can. I just wish I could see some iPhone users who can do the same..

Nokia will not sell like Samsung,Apple and LG unless they catch up with the trend. Nokia should add capacitive displays to their devices and design better phones, make them thinner and sleeker.

The N900 is untested and will be lucky to sell a million.
Too bad to all the Nokia fanboy, sheep who shelled out for the N97, a couple of months later and the N900 comes along with spec matching the iPhone 3GS, 600MHz ARM 8, PowerVR Graphics, 256MB RAM and virtual memory.
Anyway Vodafone UK has nothing whatsoever to do with Canadian companies and why should people care about your 5800 with it's second rate experience and outdated specs.
