I hate this latest software update and want to go back to my old kit kat 4.4.4. But it is way too hard to do. I told my friends about the update and they installed it too, they also hate it. They're NOT happy with me right now. So I'm expecting another update to correct all these problems. And it needs to be sooner rather than later to get rid of all these problems with our cell phones and get back in their good graces. I told Samsung would would send out another update to fix all these problems. So step up and don't make a liar out of me. What a disappointment all of this had been. Worse experience ever!!!

Hi, I upgraded to Lollipop 5.0.1 two days ago, but my contact list is still not visible. It is still saying 'updating contact list'. I did go into settings< accounts and stopped the contacts sync for a while. But nothing seems to working. I have tried the ol' switch in and switch off too. Please help!

rickrodgers21, 12 Mar 2015The new update sucks battery power faster than an Irish man... moreI agree with you. I can't believe how much faster the battery dies with the new update. And random apps freeze up constantly now. I keep getting error messages.

DO not like the updates. I and will remove to factor settings. It drains your battery, notification in the lock screen do not show up. They do not give any options on seeing your notifications icon vs. banner.

Hi all , just updated my Samsung galaxy note 3 SM-N900 with Lollipop version few days back . As of now i found the update good with my cell running smooth and fast , just a drawback it eats RAM more than normal so have to keep clearing it at regular intervals .

The new update sucks battery power faster than an Irish man with a tankard of beer. Sorry I updated to this, should have waited. Phone is sluggish and even with a cache delete still has problems. Using a Samsung S5 gold. I hope they send out another update soon as the battery usage is unacceptable.

that's true, my S5 GM900F as well is having problems with many different apps,it,s been having lags, delays, bug, freezes.
This is a lack of respect with the people and as well android and samsung are playing with your customers, and a very very near possibility a lot of withdrawals from samsung consumer

Seems like there are issues in the US as well. My contacts crash constantly, my battery level decreases rapidly, and my phone seems to be sluggish.

Please note that the issue is not only with the Samsung devices in Norway. People in India and elsewhere are all facing a barrage of issues with Galaxy S4 Lollipop update.
I have updated my Galaxy S4 (9500) to lollipop just a couple of days back. I am highly disappointed by the outcome.

I am facing the following issues:
                                      1. The phone drains battery very quickly now (especially if it is using Mobile data), and gets heated up quickly,
                                      3. applications crash very frequently and sometimes the phone itself restarts,
                                      4. apps open very slowly,
                                      5. the Contacts app keeps crashing all the time with the popup "Unfortunately, contacts has stopped",
                                      6. wallpaper changes automatically,
                                      7. ringtone volume decrease automatically,
                                      8. keyboard keeps disappearing while I am typing something, etc.
                                      9. sometimes after I exit from an app, the app drawer shows a blank and takes some time before the apps are visible.

Basically almost everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. I totally doubt if the update has been tested before releasing. I have cleared the cache at startup, but to no avail. The device was a gem with Android Kitkat and I really wish I could go back to that.

Just waiting for Samsung to release a fix to at least make the device usable (I believe a complete eradication of all the bugs that have crept into the system will take quite some time.)
