Had same problems in cyprus with my s5. make a factory reset and it will be ok.
Actually every time you make a major update from different android versions a factory reset is necessary !

It has been going on for some time that my phone is facing the same issues and I have been stuck on road while using GPS and phones going wild
Where phone switches off itself in the middle and goes dead
Can Samsung be kind enough to permit to trade in S5 and switch to other brands or Samsung

error message keeps popping up since update 5.0 lollipop on my samsung galaxy s5. error message "Unfortunately,Google play services had stopped". this is happening every 5 seconds. I am not able to do much because it forces you to click ok.

I do have a Samsung Grand Prime that i bought @ the Samsung store in Florida December 2014 and right now it has no use to me.It just not turning on and it do run hot.

New Galaxy S5. Android 5.0 won't let me send messages.Can receive, but not sent. Worked fine on v4.4

I'm having the same issues with the sluggish apps, contacts stopped working pip up, less battery life...
The one thing that really bothers me is the new so-called "feature" of silencing your phone and nothing gets through. No alarms or notifications. While at work I'm required to have my phone on silent, but I still need to see notifications as I live with an elderly parent. I need to see if she calls as it could be a health issue or worse an emergency.
Having the silent setting block out my alarms is also beyond irritating, silence the phone for sleeping miss the alarm in the morning...not a bonus.
Sometimes things should be left alone...

Ok so Norway is finally getting some help. What about the US, are we going to be included with this fix? New s5 is great....the new update freaking ridiculous! Makes me want to switch and become an iPhone user

Really? Alarm will not go off if our phone is on silent? maybe some of us don't like to be woken up in the middle of the night by text messages just so our alarm will wake us up. Please fix

hi, i am from india, when i first through ota 5.0.1 lollypop,everyhting was done fine and when it restarted the phone hanged in the restart mode ,then i switched the phone ,removed the batttery and again i started the phone after sometime,then it installed all the apps and knox was not intalled correctly,it showed "partition was not munted ,please restart your device "then i called to customer care they said the knox for lollypop is in beta version we will leave update firmware,,any one as experienced this

I've tried Polish and UK roms, both with a full factory reset and i recognize the bugs on both roms.

I saw my friends S4+(which for what I know is older device than my S5) had 5.0.1 and it was running smoothly(though not sure for how long). I were mind blown! I'm really about to switch to iPhone.
Ohh, gotta make sure not to buy S6 cause it looks the same...

Yea I just received the first part of the update & now dread the second. Battery is going down Very Fast!

My only complain with lollipop is that sometimes a message pops telling me that contacts has stopped working bla bla bla and the task manager which pops with a 3-4 secs delay. Other than that is a nice update especialy because of the lock screen notifications, battery life is pretty much the same:2 and a half days on w0 charching with 3 hours screen ontime 2 hours of phone calls and 4 hours of BT connected to my car which also means around 4 hours of music. Also lollipop seems to have improved the connection with my Dacia's car kit which sometimes didn't even want to connect on kitkat.
