Cant blame the firmware, all they can change is thermal throttling so a remedy will drastically reduce performance. One more reason to buy iphone 6, and what do you know, thats what people already do.

Yes, that's right, folks. It was Samsung that forced htc to use the 810 and lower battery life. It was Samsung that forced htc to use a lower quality panel.

Hey, Jeff! Will you please give me a brake....I'm tyred of the same excuse "the software is not final....bla bla.". Why did you release an unfinished phone? ...and are you sure that all those bugs (poor camera, overheating, phone boot etc) are going to be solved with a/several software update? I'm a proud owner of M7 and M8 but with such an amateur attitude I'm thinking of giving to Sumsung a try...I had an SGS3 but a get rid of it due to poor software.

If gmsarena ever get thier m9 review done we might have a better idea of the truth.

Weird how s6 review is out before the m9, but the former isn't supposed to be released til 3 weeks after the m9!

As for phones not running final software, I'd hope less than a month before a phones release the software is pretty much final. Otherwise it's heading for bigger trouble (software dev speaking here)

Drop the worthless slots and removable battery. Slim in the hand, with fast internal I/O, and full range of installing all apps or media on that 128gb storage.

Best choice is s6 for android now.

It is impossible that htc did not test the devices running the 810...it kinda looks fake to me this news.. And that the 810 may have gotten hotter slightly more than the normal... Rest is done by probably some other jealous company... At the top of my head I think it's Samsung.. They did the same with the m7 hiring students to write negative reviews.. And also the current compitetor is the m9..

AnonD-133120, 17 Mar 2015damn those chinese, because of them the market is filled up... moreHaha junk cores.

Android users think cores are everything. They think Android OS need octa core because of multitasking!

What dumb idea! Look Intel atom in android run dual cores / NVIDIA run dual core in n9. Apple A7 is running dual core. Does all those means 8x weaker cpu? NO!

                          Its all marketing gimmick.

Now SD 810 cannot catch up with performance.. and Exynos cheat people with a 14nm/22nm chip.

Ever since apple announced the A7, I have not seen Qualcomm releasing one meaningful chipset so far for the last 1.5 years. Nvidia, Samsung and others are catching up with Apple Socs but Qualcomm seems to have lost it completely.

damn those chinese, because of them the market is filled up with octa crap processors, why the feck would you even need 8 cores in a fecking mobile! the max should with 4*a53 2*a57, & the phones would run cooler & drain less battery

AnonD-355421, 17 Mar 2015If the software is coded to under clock the chip, then yes ... moreThen whats the point of buying?

I buy high end chip to have it clock to mid range chip.

Your choice for Android OS is simple now.

                                1. Pick SD 810 and burn
                                2. Pick Eynos and drop slots
                                3. Pick mid ranger and lag.

All flagship androids are simply Eynos and SD only. no more choice. Unless the rise of China SoC etc comes fast.
