Can't fix a hardware problem with a software solution. Seriously, do you guys know what a "design flaw" is? Sure, you can gimp the machine by making it run a bit slower with a software fix to alleviate the overheating, but that doesn't mean the inherent problem is gone.

A car with square wheels isn't going to drive any faster and smoother just because you put in giant comfy seats.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2015HTC has a tendency of not learning from its mistakes. overh... moreM7 running well :) and it's 2 years old ...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the best with a cool well-spread out heat distribution. Can't same the same for any of the others.

Am not really an HTC fanboy but give this a break.... This can be fixed with updates...give credit where it is due...HTC has come a long way... To produce a unit praised by unbaised mass.

Yeah this SD810 no good for this year. And saddest part is all of this people caching for years 810 flagships. That is wrong SoC. Will wait for 820 custom soc before i trow away my money for flagship

That is bad news, they should throttle that CPU back a few notches, no reason to have a rapid CPU when your phone has an 810 in it.

Underclock it, thermally cool it back a bit, go for stability instead of trying to be the fastest.

I was looking for an achillies heel and it looks like i've found it, shame as i love htc phones.

I thought they'd actually cracked it this time.

                      Maybe next year.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2015Samsung S4 had same problem and was fixed with firmware upg... moreActually the s4 had that problem because it wasn't cooled well enough and the 600 always was a warm processor. Not to mention that they didn't underclock it like HTC did, outcome is swollen battery, poor battery and broken phones.

The M7 used to get very hot but was thermally cooled so it sort of worked, not to mention that the M7's metal design actually acted like a heat sink.
