sid, 07 Oct 2009www.pocketables.net/2009/08/miutech-hdpc-gets-redesigned-an... moreI work in IT so gadgets, electronics, and mobiles are just right up my ally. I never said you can't do it, I never said the technology is not out there, but would i buy a thick 5in phone? This is where you possibly need to educate yourself.

The matter is not so much what you can cram in there, it's a matter of making them work WELL. If we're going by your logic, we'd all be stuck with $500 brick phones with hundreds of so-so functions working half-@$$ed most of the time.

Like Sid, maybe you guys can take some marketing or business class together to see the point i was trying to make in my earlier post. Maybe you'll be smart enough to run a multi-million business someday.

see the world with open eyes... if a small anonymous firm can do it, whats the big deal?

The phone is not just a phone anymore especially if I am willing to pay close to $500 along with a 2yr lock-in contract.

Why cant they come up with an AMOLED screen that saves battery power. Also the screen could have been 1024 wide instead of 800, is it really that big of a deal? I mean seriously. And whats wrong in giving it a little more RAM (768MB).
What happened to the multitouch. Apple had it for over 3 years now, even a non-smart phone like LG BL40 has it. Wireless charging, mini-USB 3.0, etc. Wheres the HTC INNOVATION???

The 6.5 muight have CRASH issues for some beta to be out in a couple of months.
Guys! a lot more is coming our way, so just hold your horses for another 3-6 months.

The 65K color limitation is still an issue in Winmo 6.5, according to what I've read. But it is also true that it's practically impossible to see the difference between that color depth and higher ones. There are many other things that make displays look great (or not).

Actually, in my case, the dealbreaker on this phone is precisely what many others are so hype about. I generally do a lot of tasks on my smart or multimedia phones that absolutely require precise data entry, which is just not possible with a finger. So, in my case, resistive touchscreen is a MUST!

What about the video camera? Can it record video? And what resolution? I hope for a minimum VGA resolution. If someone knows please tell me

Anonymous, 06 Oct 2009Not sure what you're on about, but the 65k Colour limitatio... moreyes it was a windows issue but remeber theres a new windows mobile version, 6.5 soon to be 7 and now they have capacitive touch screens it is likely they will be more colours, HOWEVER no human can tell the difference once you go passed 65k colours so who cares your brain can not process the difference the only reason other screens look better worse is due to contrast brightness resoloution etc, it has NOTHING to do with only having 65k colours

More megapixels mean longer load times and longer transmission, so it might compromise performance. Also, this phone is already packed with features. Maybe adding xenon flash and higher megapixels would make it bulky. Who knows? If you think it's easy to add all of those features in, why don't you build your own phone :)
