I have been a phablet fan since dell streak was introduced and was hooked.. Tried all the notes and the nexuses.. Nothing beats the experience on the xzu...
I do hope they put a flash and a better camera and maybe some enhancements on sound.. I will buy the z4u in a heartbeat even if they change just that and nothing else...

There is a reason the Xperia Z2 has been the highest rated phone by user ratings on Gsmarena for some time now. One has to own a Sony device to know what a genuinely good phone is. There is a definite difference: snappy, excellent battery life, very good camera, feels great in the hand and quite frankly, this water proofing thing is a huge bonus. True, the bezels could be a lot smaller. Find someone near you who owns a Sony Xperia Z 2 or 3 and find out what kinds of phones these are for yourselves.

Z ultra since September 13- it gave me serious hassle for over 3months before the power button completely packed in. Lucky I kept my ip5 and had been using both (don't like holding a brick to my head every time I make a call)so I didn't go phoneless. They sent me a new 1 laat month under warranty but not because of that it's still my favourite phone EVER and nothing out there I wana replace it with. Even though i nearly smashed it a few times in pure rage. Come on sony, its you versus apples September offerings (if you had brought out a good z4 ultra by now I wouldn't have even had a choice!). At least my ip5 is reliable as anything and when my power button STARTED acting up I had a new 1 handed to me within a week at their store. That's the only other positive I have for apple. I would rather keep my ip5 (preferably) and/or z ultra over ANY ugly samsung phone. In fact there's very little Samsung products I would ever go for. Lol, their fridges & washing machines look alright. And their massive uhd tvs- but I suppose all massive uhd TVs look good. Need £20k for 1 of those bad boys

The Z Ultra is the best phablet I've ever tried and I've tried them all. Enjoyed the 2 week trials w/Note4,Nexus6,Iphone6,Huaweii Mate...great devices but always couldn't wait to fire up the Ultra again.
Best hardware in the business.
Id like flash on a new Ultra but much more a kickass processor.
Looks almost definite the new Ultra will be 6 or 6.1". Gonna be a letdown if so...but it's much more marketable than 6"4 so it makes sense.
I'll have to decide where to go if it is.

For me the Z Ultra was the perfect device, if the Z4 Ultra is reduced to 6 inches then I shall not be buying it, instead I shall upgrade to the 8 inch Z3 Tablet Compact or just wait for it's successor next year.

I haven't owned an xperia phone yet but I'm looking forward to getting rid of my note 3 and getting the z4. The xperia line of phones surpass all others from what I can tell. Not really sure why people hate on them.

Surely something is better than nothing if you want to gain attention and survive in this fast paced industry.
I really feel for them but - a leopard doesn't change it's spots. If / when they go down, we'll all be able to say that it WAS for a lack of trying! ;)
