mmmmm... what's the point of 6.5!!! Is it upgradeable from 6.5 to 7 or 6.1 to 7? i own Xperia X1 and i upgrade it with cooked windows because rumor has it that there will no official update for X1 for the mean time.
but 6.5 was release last month for God Sake, Win 7 is coming too soon i think and all the new features and the changing in the User Interface makes you wonder what's the point of the 6.5!!!

On these pics I don't see anything exciting... except eye candy.
calendar is still crap, inbox is worse since there's no message date and/or time immediatelly visible, and keyboard lacks special characters...
I'll have to see one alive on modern mobile phone to make complete evaluation, of course... Let's say, on something with Snapdragon heart...

The "Start" menu desapeared because all the new models that would accept the new OS have(to have) the windows button.

I don't see anything exciting about the WM7.If you have a look at the changes they are things you have on the customised UI of Windows Mobile phones of HTC & Samsung. I have seen the review of HTC HD2 and it has all these stuff already.HTC HD2 has a capacitive screen that WM7 is just going to support. I really think Microsoft need to get their acts together, they are in a automatic gun fight with knives. I heard they intend to maintain WM 6.5 and market WM7 as a premium OS, now what sense is in that. Next year Apple are going to come with a better phone (I mean every year) and here is Microsoft struggling to release a new version of OS after series of delays. GET SEROUS MICROSOFT.

Windows Mobile 6.5 is now the new Vista! Why do companies bother paying Microsoft for it when Google Android is free and full of features? Microsoft should be the ones paying Samsung/Nokia/LG etc...

Interesting, the start menu is gone. Wonder how Microsoft will be doing their with windows 7 mobile, looks like theres still a little tiny menus here and there. Really would love to see them improving their task manager for apps. And a cleaner ( not really expecting a very beautiful one ) calendar, cock or maybe organizing apps. Such minor things can really make a phone feel much better.
