I have the same issue, but battery saving mode solves the problem, my question is WHY does it solve it?

Wow, this temporary workaround works for my Tab S (SM-T705).
So it has something to do with the power management of the Marshmallow update.
Samsung should release a patch for this.

I had a some issue as you have experience.I just do a simple work around after that my tab is running fine even 5% battery charge .
1-Just remove the tab front cover.
2-Disconnect the battery cable connector.
3-Inspect the battery condition and cable connector male & female. If connector re soldering is required this you can easily verify after inspecting it.In my case i found OK.
Fix back the battery & connector just power up the TAB.I am sure you will NOT get same screen flickering or re booting issue with your TAB.
If probelem is still than replace the battery.

Mhel, 07 Dec 2016I am experiencing the same thing with my samsung galaxy tab... moreHi Mhel,
I had the same issue earlier, after I did the steps below, it seems to have solved it (got this solutions from searching the net earlier):
1. open the back casing (follow a youtube video how-to replace the battery on SM-T705, I used a guitar pick to do this, wasn't too difficult)
2. Take out the battery and the pull out the connector(I tried this step following the youtube video at first, which pulling the white sticker out and pull the battery, that didn't work, at the end, I had to carefully pry it with a flat screwdriver, be extra careful here not to damage the battery, try covering the flat screwdriver head with a thick plastic)
3. Put the battery back in and attach back the connector
4. Put back the casing
That's it. It somehow works.
My earlier plan was if this didn't work, then I'll replace the battery. But its been 3 days now and this works wonderfully.

Wow, I have a Tab S 8.4 and have also experienced the screen flicker/reboot issue when the battery gets lower than 40%. It's currently at the service centre, they won't give it back and say there's a "part shortage" in Europe.
What's really surprising is that every comment on here for over a year is from people complaining about the same problem. Is there some kind of manufacturing fault with this device? I just took it to the research centre, then afterwards I googled to see if other people are experiencing this issue and it's so widespread! Everyone seems to be having the same problem with their Tab S!
Samsung???

Hey guys! I got horizontal lines, flickering screen and it reboots by itself too. Using it on power saving mode helped me a lot. But, after marshmallow update, the problems turn from bad to worse. Same problem but times two! Then network problem, I often don't receive cellular network.
DO NOT UOGRADE TO MARSHMALLOW!! I REPEAT, DO NOT UPGRADE TO MARSHMALLOW!!

Samsung disatisfied, 04 Apr 2016I tried to reach samsung chat online to explain the problem... moreThey said the same thing to me a year ago when I contacted them with this problem. We've never seen this before...yeah right. I was still within warranty so they soldered something and it was working again. It's been a year and the problem has returned unfortunately. Of course out of warranty now.

I'am having the same issue with frequent shutting down and reboot of the tab s which is very very annoying. I guess this is related to lollipop upgrade. With these issues, samsung did not even released an update to fix the problems. This will be my last samsung device.

The issue is on the power grid, the only thing you have to do is re-solder your battery connecter

Removing the front faceplate and disconnecting the batter did help. The issue went away for a good 2 days. I thought I was done with the issues but alas, issue remains. The battery indicator seems to also jump around. While it is having the reset/screen flickering issue, I noticed it was registering 25% battery life. Yet when I plug it in, a second later it shows as 65% battery life. Turning off/on the powersaving doesn't help at all. I have the US version of this device and have had the issue since the lollipop update. A couple of updates later, the issue is still not fixed.

Tried it all to no success. Opened up my Tab Pro 8.4, disconnected the battery (removed battery terminal connection), reconnected the battery then reinstall the cover. It's that simple. Was I just lucky? Fred
