The battery doesn't have much to do with the article or your head heating up, and batteries are placed on the other side of the phone so they do not contact your face.
The point I was trying to make is that the phone will exert greater power on its surroundings when in a weaker signal environment, such as the subway, or in buildings. Therefore, the SAR ratings of phones provide the maximum specific power absorption per kilogram tissue. So if your phone has a head SAR rating of 1.2W/kg then in good reception the phone may be using 0.5W/kg because it doesn't "stress" the phone to search for a better signal.
Also, for those that are still unconvinced, I'm a Biologist and have been studying this "stuff" for a long time. Microwaves, which are emitted from cell phones (as well as WiFi routers, microwaves, etc.), all emit radiation that induces molecular rotation. Which means that the components of your cells rotate as if in resonance with the phone's RF emissions. The stronger the RF emissions, the faster they will rotate.
This molecular rotation is what is responsible for the raised temperature in the head/body parts where the phone is being used. And the reason why other RF's don't "affect" us as much is because they function at a different wavelength, which has less "power" to induce molecular rotation/vibration.

Everyone uses mobile phones but the thing how we r using them and after knowing all these disadvantages we should take care and keep thing in mind that we can only use the worlds best phone only if our health is ok and if not then there is no use of using the latest technology.....

I think all people should be careful about the radiation produced from the cell phones and top brands like SE, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola or LG should release a new series of cell phones which will not known for their huge camera pixel nor superb sound quality rather for their reduced radiation level and better protection against such harmful thing.

Several years ago (many in fact), a good (trusted) friend of mine turned up at my home with one of the world's first mobile phones. After blowing my mind with the technology, he informed me that it had been discovered that mobile phones not only 'cook' anything they are near (brains for example), but that they also harm the eyes. The real shocker was that this would all be covered up IMMEDIATELY forever. (That was in the 1980s.)
I for one notice that my ears lobes get hot after lengthy talking, although with more modern phones, this is less common.
Draw your own conclusions.

caleb, 29 Oct 2009get a bluetooth speakerphone. jabra makes an excelent one.i'm not really fond of bluetooth headsets. why go through the trouble to hook that thing onto your ear for a single phone call? and essentially what you're doing is hooking on another wireless device to your head, which is still radiation exposure even though it's a 90% reduction.

im glad this information is finally coming to light. people have known about this for years but the general public is never told. cell phones are not as dangerous as say microwaves but they are not good for you.

From personal experience I get headaches and get dizzy from talking more than 10 mintues on my cell phone. clearly this isn't pure coincidence.
this really needs to be looked at. I know some people brush off the validity of these studies but it is fact that radiation is emitted. If precautions should be taken is subjective as a topic, but its physical effects also varies from person to person. You may be one of the ones who are extremely vulnerable (in comparison to the rest of the general public) to radiation, genetically, without even knowing it even though everyone else is fine.
What I do in the car, at home, or anywhere that's not in public is i turn on loudspeaker instead of putting it to my head. Limited exposure from the cell phone and no exposure to bluetooth.
What do you guys do to keep it away from your body when not using it on idle? I still keep it in my pocket and I'm not paranoid, but it's good to know of different ways people are trying.
