An easily removable battery defeats that. However, those may only be available with root, which there are pros and cons of using.
For those longer videos, I think I will just find an otg to micro USB adapter to keep handy. I think this is what others came up with for the regular s6 on the forums I have been browsing.
I think I am in! This phone has the most important features I was looking for, and it is lifeproofed with a long lasting battery :-). I believe there is a workaround for the SD card though I would prefer a built-in slot.
I cannot wait until the official release details.

I for one am glad about no removable battery. a weakness of the s5 active was that when dropped into water the back panel could become open thus letting water in and killing the phone. about the sd card yes it would be nice but i rather have a more durable phone besides I don't load it up like a pc so 32gbs is fine.

rep4u, 13 May 2015Samsung PAy!!! Seriously Dude!It may surprise Samsung who buys their phones, but I am a busy middle-aged mom and a gadget geek who loves the latest technology. However, it has to be practical too. I was all set to buy the s6, but passed on it. No removable battery or even longer lasting battery (I do not want to send in for replacement or to use a power pack for extra power when needed--use for almost all my videos and photos. ), no SD card, and not water resistant to a short dunk. I love, love, love fashion! I will choose function any day when it comes to a phone. When a phone ad centers on it's the thinnest...I do not think that is the most important feature when a long lasting battery might be more practical, and many people will put a case on the phone anyway. Most things I gave are feminine as you can get, but I would take these features whatever they look like. I have seen a white camo version though (yes, I will still put a case on it EVEN if the only color Otterbox offers is black again for the Active). There is also a leaked version of a black camo, and this plain black. I really would like an SD card option, but at least a 64 or 128 option. It is possible for SD, if they put a port that could be sealed on the side. Maybe the non-replaceable battery is the tradeoff for the wireless charging even though it's possible without it?

I have been asking the same question this is the only logical conclusion I come to. I wish they had included a fingerprint scanner :(

An 'active' version rumored without SD-card slot? Why bother releasing such a model? People that choose for an active model because they do sports require enough space for their music, having built in memory will not provide this unless 128g+. I have several SD's with music categorized.

Can Samsung Pay be used with a PIN too instead of just the finger scanner? Also, can anyone confirm if that has an SD slot on the side? The back cover does not look removable.
