The payments are joined by official fingerprint sensor support. Apps have a better way of integrating the web.

Omar, 28 May 2015Google provides SW updates for Nexus only. Blame Samsung.Google has a certification program in which mandates manufacturers (such as Samsung) to bundle Google's own apps even when the manufacturer already has another app (of its own) that does the same thing. So yeah, if Google has this power then why not mandated security updates in that same program? I tell you why, Google's business is Big Data (collecting all sorts of personal data from your device and then selling it). Their apps give them more money, security updates do not. If anything, blame greed.

Android has been giving the choice of fully encrypting your device ever since ICS (actually it was introduced in GB, but only made available for use in ICS). It's called choice.

Anonymous, 28 May 2015Lumping all permissions in at the same time is a lot more c... moreYes it's progress. By prompting each permission individually (and at the time it is required) users are actually giving informed consent about its use.

It's far more comprehensive, if those nasty apps have too much pop-ups them maybe (just maybe) the problem isn't with the pop-ups but rather the app. Just saying.

You call these Privacy Settings? Is this a joke? This is nowhere close to XPrivacy/Privacy Guard level. Thanks but no thanks Google Xposed/Cyanogenmod is the way for me and always will be.

Now thats what I wanted from google. A fine permission manager. Finally google heard it. Finally I can upgrade from jellybean to android m. (yes a new smartphone). I'm tired of my lenovo k900.

Lumping all permissions in at the same time is a lot more convenient. I prefer this, so that I can then go back into the app and manage each permission as I see fit. This is already achievable in 5.1.

Imagine Facebook for the first time? Like 15 different prompts? How is this progress?

Since 4.4, Google has blocked app developers from storing files in the external memory card! Where am I going to put all my TED videos, in internal memory? I thought Google's motto was don't be evil. So looks like I'll have to root my android, and while I'm at it, tear out all of Google's spyware. Microsoft is paying Cyanogen to take google's place in Android, I'll do just that.

I'm wondering if my Galaxy Alpha would receive this Android version once I'm stuck in 4.4.4 but have no big complains about that, but most of users does.
