HTC is in the same wagon as Sony.... Smartphone market is saturated and only a few companies will survive in the long term.

Samsung, LG, Motorola, Apple and Chinese brands...

Others will probably disappear in next few years (cca 5 years). Its what open market does. Only the best survive.

HTC is done. Their cameras are terrible, no matter how many times they announce they fixed it. They cannot fix it. Their designs are dated and not nice, their skin is not nice. What they should do is: Change the design language, drop the Sense UI and stick to stock Android.

Aside from other things, it also looks like investors have no confidence in HTC's new leader.

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2015No HTC was, with G1. HTC desire was also a pretty nifty phone. But then they added those damn ugly bezels which made their phones huge, also at some removed the micro SD and removable battery. They used to be a great brand but then tried to emulate the iPhone and failed.

Honestly, they can only thank themselves. HTC M7 was fresh when it first came out, people still weren't tired of the M8 when it came out. You can only re-use the same design so many times before people get bored. That and the camera.

HTC, spend 30% of your time on new design & 70% of your time to improve camera...then all your figures will change...is that so difficult?
