The biggest problem with Google One is the OEM partners choice and the quality of the hardware being produced by them.
If they can do a job like Moto I will be happy to buy from them, but till that time I have to stick to MOTO.
Hope HTC Asus Samsung and main stream makers also jump on the Android one wagon, and push out some premium looking devices.

the main problem in android one project that their hardware are not up to mark...i mean you are running android one with 5.1.1 version only with 1GB ram and more frustrating is it only have 1700 MAh battery...how in the world could you expect to sell your phone on these below average configuration???
Seriously if google need to make android one project hit they need to adopt Xiomi or Yu type hardware configuration and price range...then any serious smart phone user choose to take swith to android one and hey i am one of them :)

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2015You guys do know that android one is another face of the po... morei agree on selling OS
but think from customer point of view
ll u buy a phone today that is 6 months old with guaranteed 2 year updates from launch date over recently launched phones with far better hardware & having latest OS till date with atleast 1 or 2 year software support in same price?

updates for 2 years is good news for existing buyers
for 4 to 6 months from launch....it ll sell like cakes but after that to attract new customers..spec bump is must

This is something that I don't understand. They are incorporating A-one with phones that has a life span of 6 months with a low-low quality and specs. So what's the use of the guaranteed two year update?

You guys do know that android one is another face of the popular android OS?The OS what they are trying to sell not the phones. They dont sell them its again distributed to the OEMS to their phones and its there right mind to have the specs balanced with the price. So comparing android one to the regular android is not about spec wars.

Android One in India couldn't compete Xiaomi. Android One phones were not looking great.

Google kept the same specs for 1 year with almost same price which was at the time of launch.
This strategy is not going to work at all
the specs bar has been rised by other brands 2-3 times in the duration of 1 year for same price point. i.e. 6~7k

if android one wants to survive, they must keep an eye on what's going on in market & need to act asap accordingly.
the rate at which the technology is upgrading itself, google must launch atleast 1 updated device every 6 month "HARDWARE WISE" NOT "SOFTWARE"

when android one was launched, it was already 1 step back due to redmi 1s in spec & price both.
after a year...same price category offering 2GB ram, 8/16GB internal, octa core etc with lollipop OS.

performance of android one isn't bad at all just need to work on very few sectors like RAM(make it 2 instead of 1) add snapDragon instead of MTK and corning gorilla glass 2 and make the phone in range of 120-150 as all know that known china companies like gionee xioami and oppo are giving such specs in such value of money...

When it was launch the Chinese companies came up with cheap phones with good specs. They were probably worried about Android One project, so might as well start doing the same.

If you got a pure android in every device program..

Google needs to spend some money on marketing these phones to the masses. And try upping the specs a bit.

i am very satisfied with my android one device...
i have a micromax canvas a1 and it is very good as it is functioning very smoothly....
i even get latest OS updates which is the best thing...

Google must go on with this Android One concept because of its great value...
