I can probably change batteries 3 times, and charge the spent ones on a desktop charger. It's great that the S6 Active has a great 3500mAh battery, and that it stands more than 30% much longer than a Note 3. Still, a removable battery would have been so awesome - 30% more efficiency is welcome, PLUS you can just switch to a battery for a FULL charge in a minute. You have your batteries' lives even longer in holding charges, thus keeping your device more effective.

You were comparing the efficiency of a single battery charge of a more power hungry device with a smaller battery to a more power efficient device with a larger battery.

Beautiful but i suspect water stock of S6 active.i dont belive samsung can make phone water stock better than Sony.

Idle charging on the spent battery is at home or in your bag. A fixed battery charges hours. Even with a fast charger system, which will shorten the battery's life faster, by the way. At least removable should have still been an option with this one.

I have two of them in my Alienware laptop for fast data speeds. I am also aware that the S6 do has one. What I am talking about is the convenience and ability to store idle large amount data on a removable card to and from different devices, without having to wait a long time to transfer those data. Even if I do get a 128GB model, I'd still would like a memory card option.

AnonD-335213, 13 Jun 2015indeed a valid point. but, are you aware about the overheat... moreI don't know about the SD slot. Remember they did it mainly for the bandwidth to mostly supply the new ufs storage and so people would not blame the SD eating into the bandwidth as lag. I think design might have had a tiny sliver to do with it but if it was only design they would have found a work around even if it had to be a hair thicker.
The Note 5 is likely to use the ufs storage. If so the chance that they will still include the sd slot and let users name their decision is iffy.
Some rumors suggest emmc 5.1 to go with their new chips. So we shall see

The part efficiency of the parts in the Note 3 while still good is far behind that of the ones in the S6. The S6 has much more efficient parts and a bigger battery.

You want the tech you pay more. You don't want to pay more you buy another device that is cheaper because they use cheaper tech. Plain and simple logic

Only one of my many colleagues has gotten a micro SD card for their Samsung devices. Most don't even think of what they got are miniaturized computers that can connect to monitors and projectors and really do some serious work. I mean I've done my design thinking with my Note 3, churning out new ideas, and storing large volumes of reading material for research for my academic papers. Connect it with a keyboard, you get a word processor. Pop in a large storage device, you don't ever need to carry a hard disk. Get a Zerolemon extended battery, you don't need to charge for days even with heavy use. It's hard to believe that "they" rather carry a power bank than an extra battery, or limit their device use, carry external memory accessories than something you can slide in that's more secure, from something that was water-resistant to something that isn't, and the illogical reasoning that a rear glass material is so beautiful and better than a material that doesn't break... all in the name of showing off how it's 1mm thinner than last year's model. OMG! We're appreciating backward thinking!

Looking at sony z3, z3+ its double of note series.
Even auto like in S6 is no help there. Expecting more...
