AnonD-354781, 26 Jun 2015Unlikely since it's allegedly being manufactured by Samsung.it is not possible.maybe they are using a custom set as sammy does with their latest exynos but sammy doesnt manufacture socs for sd makes no sense....probable sammy is the customer in charge of testing the chip.

LG's G4 Pro is rumored to come with SD820. Anyways, part of the heat of SD810 seems to be the Cortex A-57 cores, as Exynos 7420 also has trouble to run at high speeds for more than just a tiny bit. The other part likely for a big part is caused by TSMC's rather crappy 20nm process, which just isn't doing well for these high end type of chips.
If Qualcomm indeed is moving over to 14/16nm and managed to get a rather efficient core again, just like their Krait core was, SD820 may well be a very interesting mobile SoC for the year to come.
