3... moreI hate to burst your bubble but take some of your own advice and take a look at the last 3 quarter sales results from Sony Ericsson, they are a company in sharp decline, whereas the other rubbish you talk of (LG & Samsung) are showing massive market growth.
Even the giant Nokia are seeing a slow down in growth and I'm guessing it is down to the technological advancements in the LG and Samsung handsets being brought to market with precision and proper QC.
Don't forget the age of this site, these rankings began when SE were making legendary phones such as the K750i, I would take them with a pinch of salt and before you make a bigger fool of yourself check the figures that truly matter, the sales figures!
When you have seen the actual sales figures then I suggest you come back and reiterate what you have been saying!

This is just embarrasing for SE. Maybe they'll make a comeback with the xperia x10. I doubt it but it can happen because it's not happening with these two FAIL devices

This is the ranking! Can you see the number of the hits? Or do you need me to help you in reading? We are not talking about a survey with 100 or 200 or even 1000 vote! No it's much huger. Therefore, don't you dare tell me to ignore this ranking. If you have a survey that has a number of hits greater than the one that gsmarena offer, I will be more glad to observe it, otherwise you and me and every else must admit that SE is second after Nokia, yes they are. SE Rocks ;). And for the people who claimed that lg is better than sony, grab a life will ya ;).

Best slap in the face for all You people who were happy that SE has bad quality products LoooooooooooooooL, and kept spreading sh*t about them all the time, well guess what? The aino has no problems at all and it wasn't pulled, it was only a rumor? So, do you realize now how naive and noop you were? Or you still need some time? In your face hahahaha. get a life, SE rocks, that's the reason why we tech people really appreciate sony products and value them ;)

Never likes SE and never will.i must admit though that they have good sound.i think is more about ppl taste...but many companies are better than SE..one of them i say htc...they really bring something that not even nokia or iphone pulled out recently .and yet again it's abot taste but when i say smartphone i think more to a personal computer powered winmo ,maemo,macmo,or android not these SE toys or any other.

There is something wrong with my Aino touch screen. It is almost as just some features work. I cannot get a qwerty keyboard on the touch screen. The touch screen does not work properly. I think I must take it back to the shop, maybe they can explain what I am doing wrong.

Wake up pls... Don dream anymore, LG is really better than SE now. I ask u 1st, did u use LG phone b4? If u never, pls don say like that for so sure. My fren got a LG Viewty Smart compares his phone with 1 of his fren which just own a SE Satio, but everyone is surprise on the LG technology that include the user interface, its multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, HD video recording, camera function modes & etc... I feel pity of u pathetic SE die hard fan. Wake up!!

Sony Ericcson must focuss on low end handsets. major chunk of indian market shifted to the range between 2 to 5k.

What is really happening with phones lately? Most of them have software bugs and all that kinda stuff. Don't they test these things before taking it to the public?? If not then they should test out phones for a month before selling them. This is really unacceptable! First up was Nokia with their 5800 XM, followed the N97 (which is still unstable even after the latest firmware). Samsung Omnia HD had bugs too but was not that bad. Last week it was the Satio and now the Aino! This makes you wonder which phone's next, doesn't it? I'm really disappointed with manufacturers of cellphones about the fact that it seems like they're not paying attention to quality anymore but rushing for being the best with phones full of bugs and problems...

At SE For Ever
Ok then. Then I guess you will have to admit that AT THE RATE SE IS GOING AT THE MOMENT with innovation, SE is digging itself a pretty little hole.
We have corps like LG and Samsung releasing at least 2 new touch phones a month, and SE gives us 4 in the entire year (X2, X10, Aino, Satio), and X10 ain't due till next year.
Like I said, don't get me wrong. I ain't a SE basher; I'm still somewhat of a fan using a W980.
But you have to acknowledge the fact that SE is not keeping up with the times, and to top that they are still far over-priced specs-wise.
And so what? So what if GSMArena's pole SHOWS that SE is 2nd after Nokia? Say that is true; how long do you think it will last?
On a sane level, it ain't true. SE is not producing technologically attractive phones anymore, not like the K750 or W800 which back in the day were world-firsts. Who, in the right mind and thought, would go buy SE's latest offering when for the same price could get something from a maufacturer who's got more experience making and releasing something more technologically advanced?
AND THIS IS NOT TAKING INTO ACCOUNT BRAND LOYALTY.
I for one am not brain-washed into buying just one brand. I always look at the specs on a device. Then I research, like here on the net, to see other's reviews. Sure, some a biased. But research enough and you start seeing a trend. For example, from past experience and my own research I know Sony does pretty well in making headphones; my current ones are lasting me about 5 years now. And that still seems to be the case. SE phones. Ok for me, so far. W200 was my first, W980 is my second. And I bought it not because I was hypnotised to. I bought it because sound quality wise it is well known (and even won an award).
What I can't understand is, why people, despite it being blantly obvious right in front of them, dwelve themselves in denial with stuff like 'SE is the best after Nokia and you know it' crap. Snap out of it - look at yourself in the mirror when you say that out loud. The truth is, they are not. They are technologically slower, and have been upto the K800; after that, they've gone downhill.

Maybe people who had Aino was st*p*d enough to think that it was a full touch phone and they keep on touching the screen on menus but had no response.. XD Anyways, I think pulling it out for a while is a good move so that not alot of people will be affected. Then when they have the real stable firmware, they will have the best user experience. No problems here in our place though.. It's just in the UK probably. Besides, other phones were worst! Like the 5800, n86, and the n97 when it first launched.

please give me a break will you! SE is the second brand preferred by people world wide and it's not only gsmarena that proves this. Go do some research for god sake and see for yourself. And yes it's true I called people these names and now you are also talking rubbish! Your telling me that lg is better than SE? Are you sh*itting me or what? Don't you call this pathetic? It's like comparing a Toyota to a hyundai. SE is the best after nokia whether you accept it or lie on your self. By the way next time you post a comment pls tell me that acer and dell smartphone are ranked better than SE LoooL. Funny people really :)
