Would be awesome if it were an FHD RGB OLED screen with an s820, stick in a 3000mAh battery and this might just put Nexus back on the map fot consumers.
Especially considering that this wouldn't cost more than $350 for the cheapest model.

AnonD-286474, 14 Jul 2015I was hoping google could make a mid range phone, something... moreexactly what is required as of now. google is either at the lowest end or at the highest end right now. give us a great mid range device.

I used to think QHD is an overkill at 5 inches... till I tried watching a video on Samsung Galaxy S6. Stunning, really. Can't wait for that Nexus 5 2015.

I really hope it will have "only" 1080p screen as anything higher is ridiculous on 5.0" screens. I prefer smoother operation and better energy consumption to pointless resolutions on pocket devices.

5inch screen is a good choice. FullHD will help achieve better battery life than 2K. Hope that it will be IPS panel, not amoled. With out Samsung color profiles amoled provide oversaturated unrealistic colors (imho).
Nexus 5 (2013) is a wonderful device (except for battery). Will be waiting for its sucsessor.

1080p display is the feature I'm seriously hoping for. 2k is overkill for ANYTHING below a 7'' display, and even there I'd say it's unneeded.

regs, 14 Jul 2015Mediatek most probably as too low GPU results for 1080p.Yes this is scoring lower in 3D than my Snapdragon 800 device, which could align with this being the Huawei produced device. Let's see what turns out to be true, but I don't think LG will use a mediatek processor for their Nexus device.

the problem is it's going to be released with a 2500mAh battery and no expansion. I feel they do it deliberately to let other manufacturers sell droids as well.

This should be a Samsung Snapdragon 820. Apple will not be far behind since Samsung is sole player in the FinFET business that is proven. No matter what IBM does with 7mm, or MTK with X20 in coming days! It will be a joy to use Nexus this summer. peace !
