Omg. I just realized that there were games behind the articles/news about SE. 1st about satio. Then aino. And now x2. The 'language' i mean the words used in the articles can cause misunderstanding. So sad gsmarena.

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2009That maybe the case. Satio's camera is very good but then a... moreAnd how can you tell the other functions are not working well??Did'nt you read Satio only has problems with Vodafone UK??The rest is working perfectly and there is no problem at all. I don't know that wether SE bashers don't know how to read or they are just looking for a pthetic excuse to blame SE. There are lots of Sets that have some kind of problems when they are released, How about N95?it was the buggiest set when it was released.
gsmarena are just trying to show people that do not go for SE its bad and that clearly shows something fishy here.

How about they first told that Aino has problems then said it was a false alarm and then again mentioned Aino problems in this article even when it was false alarm??

Satio is a great phone and just because Vodaphone UK had some problems with it, it doesn't mean there is a worldwide problem with it, try to understand things rather than just start blaming a company right after reading a bogus article on sites like this who clearly have their own personal favorites which are praised all the time regardless of how average they are.

[deleted post]K850 has a great camera, but you need to know what you are doing, N82 is for dumbass*s like you who need a point & shoot kind of camera, but if you really know the settings then I highly doubt N82 could do better than K850.
And Yes I did own a K850 so I know.

I don't get all this freeze/bugs/restarts being reported.
I had mine for a month now and there have been no problems even before the update.

I just hope people reporting this actually do own a Satio. It's a shame when people review phone they haven't actually used. (I'm not saying all, but a lot do)

I am not a Nokia nor a SE's fanboy. I use what I think is a good camera phone irrespective of its brand & it has mainly been either Nokia or SE. I don't care much about Samsung & the rest. I had 3 Samsungs over the past 4 years & I was not impressed at all. Satio as a camera is marvellous but unfortunately I can't say the same about the phone.

[deleted post]That maybe the case. Satio's camera is very good but then again besides having a good camera. The other basic functions must work equally well. Unfortunately this is not the case.

This firmware won't do much as it was still version 1.0
                R1= Release1
CA is actual version set number which stands for 66 and compile number 037!
A newer, radically better firmware versio should be like:

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2009Satio simply disappointed in terms of its OS. It's a proof ... moreU think if Satio were on Andriod OS it would not have so much problem like now? What makes you say this? Personally I am not so sure about this. Just wait for the X10 & I can bet with you is going to be a long long wait. Has SE ever launch a new model on schedule as announced? Classic example the much anticipated X1 & now the up & coming X2 is also delayed. Your guess is as good as mine! They have this habit of announcing a soon to be launched model in order to generate interest & put potential buyers of other brands on hold. I think is a "marketing ploy" but it did not work very well, did it? 6 to 10 months down the line, competitors would have come up with something even more innovative within that time frame. By the time SE launches the so called new "high tech model." It wasn't that new & high tech anymore. It was 6 to 10 months ago.

Nisse, 05 Dec 2009Sounds great that the update shows it to be more stable, I ... moreYou want qwerty board, go for a N97 Mini. I don't care much about it coz I can text much faster with the touchscreen than the qwerty board. Let me tell you this, I bought a Satio on Nov 10. Phone was sent back to SE service centre on Nov 30. I had problem with the software as it has crashed, hung or what ever you may wish to call it on numerous occasions. I thought I could get away with it till the new impending software is available. Whenever it decided to crash, all I had to do was to remove the batt, reinsert & switch it on again. Well, it worked for a while until on one occasion. Upon switching it on, I just could not punch the pin code. It was not responding at all & even if it did it was for the wrong reason. For instance if you punch a "1" follow by a "3." The "3" would appear & the "1" is missing. Prior to this, I also noticed that when I checked what apps were running in the background by pressing the menu button in the middle for a second or two. The Calender kept popping up. Coming to SE's after sales service. 3 days after the phone has been sent in. I have not heard from them at all pertaining to the status of my phone. I took the liberty to call them on the Dec 3 & enquired. They told me that there is this one part that needs to be replaced & they do not have it in stock as the phone is so new in the market. They could not even commmit to an approximate date as to when the part will be in. All they can tell me is: "part has been ordered & waiting for it to arrive." How wonderful & the waiting for part to arrive looks like is going to be an internity. Also told them about the software issue. They said they knew about & they do not have it. This speaks so much about SE's after sales service. Got myself a N97 Mini yesterday & pls don't ask me why. The rationale behind it is quite obvious. Comparing the two phones I have within a space of 3 weeks.
Satio has a much better camera, bigger screen, lighter(acres of plastic) & I quite like the versatile standby screens which you can choose from. N97 Mini feels solid not plasticky, longer lasting batt & snappier UI as of now. How snappy when compare to the new R1CA037 software? I wouldn't know. Still can't beat the iphone though when it comes to scrolling & swiping. S60 touchscreen still not quite up there yet. Nokia knows it as well as we do & that is why come next year (most probably Q3/2010) there will be a much improved version. Last but not least when it comes to "After Sales Service," Nokia wins by a mile. In short I have no regrets getting the N97 Mini. Would I want to get a X10? No way baby! Heard that X2 has been delayed again till Feb/2010. Looking at SE's trend. The time lag is approximately 6-10 months between announcing & launching a new model. The addage applies "Time waits for no man & especially waiting for a half baked phone!!!!!!"

Carphone Warehouse held back this phone after seeing an unacceptable amount of returns (based on software faults). My own store has returned/exchanged about one third of those sold (a huge amount). As I understand it, Sony accepted there was a software issue and agreed on a recall of the product until a patch was made available. I find it very hard to believe that they would agree to such an arrangement if there were no more problems then with any other new handset.

However, the Aino rumours are just that. CPW never removed the Aino from sale, and as of yet I have seen no more returned than can be expected.

Heres hoping the Satio is on the mend now, was certainly selling well before all this mess!
