Anonymous, 06 Dec 2009What a silinness, buy a N97 Mini for replace a Sony Ericsso... moreTo each his own. You are entitle to your own opinion. Are you using a Satio? If you are not then you are not in a position to say that is silly to replace a Satio with a N97 Mini.I have my reasons & do you know that my Satio is still in the service centre for 1 week now waiting for the part to arrive. Besides software problem, I cannot even activate my SIM pin code. Do me a favour pls read my post carefully before you open your gap in this site.

I never had a problem on mine and it's been more than a month now.
I don't know where this freeze/bugs thing are coming from.
I OWN A SATIO!! HELLLOOO! If it has problems, I WOULD KNOW!!
If you want to say something about a Phone, BUY IT FIRST!! USE IT!! And not make random comments on something you haven't even used.

Hi all,
Here's a (hopefully) neutral testimony from a french user on Orange (unbranded).
I did experience some issues after having bought the phone, namely freezes after importing a new photo when writing several MMSs in a row or when opening too many applications, or even random reboots. Calling the menu or switching between applications did lag but not dramatically, and so did scrolling down my list of contacts or applications (responsiveness). All these bugs were in my opinion caused by a bad memory optimisation, but it's just an impression.
AFTER THE UPDATE, I can say that these bugs seem to have disappeared (it's been two days, and my phone is on 24/24), the Satio didn't crash or freeze and is as responsive as in... the SE commercials!!!
So now I'm getting the phone I was looking for when I bought it, I love its features, but that of course is my very own personal taste!

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2009i feel happy for you. You must be one of the lucky few ones... moreWhat a silinness, buy a N97 Mini for replace a Sony Ericsson Satio. The Satio it's far away much better in terms of hardware than N97 Mini in all the aspects. You'll regret very much with it, honestely.

Gsmarena- could you please re-arrange the comments so that we see comments chronologically oldest first as i was annoyed having to go to page 4 to read from bottom to top. . . Anyway- i remember having the old nokia 5.1 and look at where we are 10yrs later: i am in the uk. I've read loads about the SATIO. I wanted one, but in two minds since x10 and x2 are just around the corner. i have an n82 and texting lots without using t9 hurts my fingers. I can only say the n82 had the best reviews not the k850i where the camera review was concerned, to those who start stating more tech savvy stuff about the cameras on these phones, do note these are phones, not dedicated camera's. why not get a digital camera instead? not being a complainer, but just pointing out it would be daft for a mobile phone manufacturer to have the best of every going feature as that will only result manufacturers competing with no-one. anyway the samsung amoled 12mp cameraphone looks tasty! i think its w880 or something like that. btw whats with the bad language? why read gsmarena reviews then have negative comments about them? dont read them and go elsewhere- i actually enjoy their reviews even if they make typographical errors. sorry my rambling, the uk phone operators love customising their contract phones- it's probably why the satio struggled to stay awake and alert. I wonder if sim free had such problems? Thats my rant over- stop with the cursives and bad language.

[deleted post]If you are talking only about the camera then you maybe right to a certain extent. As for the rest, I beg to differ. A camera phone is not only a camera that counts. It also encompasses other phone features as well. Let me ask you this, the camera may be the strong point but as a phone if it does not properly. Do you think is still a good phone?

Rahul, 06 Dec 2009I am now damn sure of the fact that the people here who are... moreI work for carphone warehouse and I can tell you now that the satio has had such massive problems that we've had to complete withdraw it from our stock. Is this not proof for you enough that the phone is not fit for purpose.
Every one I have sold has come back and bouht a different phone. If I was you I'd do the same before it's too late. I'm not being harsh it's just reality.
Even if they do 'fix' the bugs, it's still going to have problems. The touchscreen will still be unresponsive, the software will still crash. Plus it's a generally pretty nasty user experience on the whole. There are so many better phones out there. If you really want a sony ericsson touchscreen then aino is really good, yeah it still has it's problems but on the whole a really good phone.
These guys slating your phone aren't nokia and samsung fanboys just seems they may actually know what their talking about. Stop being naive and take it on board, your not christian are you??

Adiel, 06 Dec 2009And how can you tell the other functions are not working we... morethumbs up for your thoughts.
although i don't think that gsm arena is disregarding SE, moreover i think it's their favorite manufacturer.
but you have a point, they over topped this. plus the unconfirmed rumor about aino, wtf??!!
SE should sue them for that.
as i see it, majority of online complaints about satio were from the uk consumers. on the satio's page here there is more positive than negative feedback. and it's the biggest and most global online forum about it. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

i went to tech store yesterday and tried it myself. the ui is slow. whenever i open the camera it freezes for no reason and shows only black screen. i asked the lady about it and she just say it because the battery is low. but when i checked the battery its more than 50%. i think there is really a problem with satio.

I am now damn sure of the fact that the people here who are telling Satio freezes and crashes are lair and are either Nokia or Samsung fan boys who are jealous of Satio. Well it is true but you guys are making it up because the problem is not that big.
I am using Satio since more than a month in India and honestly speaking it had never crashed a single time neither there was freezing. Yes there were some bugs but they are fixed now after the update. And don't question about Satio's camera after the update it is even more better.
So you all Nokia and Samsumg fan boys go and report at your pages for some fake praising and over hyping...

Adiel, 06 Dec 2009K850 has a great camera, but you need to know what you are ... moreHah? I doubt you know bout the camera setting, if u know, can u adjust the ISO level on the K850? Hell, I doubt u know about photography since N82 capture better amount of resolved details and better colour! A LOT of phone sites said it! And when u want to take picture, u tinkering on the setting first? Go buy DSLR camera. Becoz we use camera phone as point and shot camera most the time. What a pitiful rock-headed SE fanboy!
