Anonymous, 18 Jul 2015How would the rumored resolution negate a 4000-4100mah batt... moreI stand corrected - yes, the Note 4 with a 1440p screen is more efficient than the Note 3 with a 1080p Super AMOLED screen by some 22%.

I for example can run the Note 3 to about 12 hours with my "normal" usage, which means a Note 4 can give me some 14.5 hours. Given if the 4000mAh battery of the Note 5 is true, and the efficiency of add good as the Note 4's battery efficiency, then it'll give me 17.9 hours (roughly what I was first getting the Note 2 first few weeks) of my "normal" use daily... Yeah, true for the first 3 to 6 months, anyway. Then it starts to degrade to some 20% of its charging hold, which brings it to some 14.3 hours. Then think about the excessive heat generated from wireless charging, or the fast charging (all consolation methods to having a non-changeable battery) degrades the battery even further.

Have you ever seen bulging batteries after some two years? Yeah, all the Note 2's batteries that my wife is using prevents the back cover from closing since they have slight bulging (I've replaced them with another set). Now imaging that happening a year later with the Note 5's sealed battery - accelerated from all that constant fast charging.

With a changeable battery system you get:
    1. Safer charging of batteries on a separate desktop cradle charger.
    2. More usability as a hand-down device to others.
    3. Longer power holding capability of battery cycles with 1 or 2 more extra batteries.
    4. Lessens the chances of theft as your device would likely be in your bag or in your pocket than needing charging on an outlet because you'll be at some function that night.
    5. No worries about having to top up the battery every time it goes down to 50% (or whatever you want). Constantly plugging in the device just ruins the battery even further.
6.Change of battery takes over a minute to get 100% power. You literally need to wait hours during your wake time to charge your device.
    7. The device practically can stay wireless and useful without plugged in to an outlet or power bank.
    8. Less hassle to carry the charger or power bank just in case. An extra battery is only a 20% of a power bank size.
    9. Less power wasted. Power banks don't give out 100% of the power it stores - you lose some 20 to 30% while transferring to the device on the form of heat.
10.You have a choice of a third party extended battery, even trippling the capacity and giving you days without charging. Not the sh*t battery jackets that overheat.

It would have be really awesome if Samsung considered the battery to be changeable. Do you like spending more money to change the fixed battery and wait for even weeks from their repair centers? Well, not so with a changeable battery system.

Samsung took the "plus" name from their own Samsung galaxy S plus. which was released back in 2011 http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9001_galaxy_s_plus-3908.php

So who is the real copy cat here? crApple.

The Note 4 QHD vs Note 3 1080p is more efficient with practically same size battery.
The Note 4's display at QHD 5.7 inches is up to 40% more efficient than 5 inch 1080p LCDs.
The 5.1 inch S6 QHD display b is even more efficient.
Not to mention the are ranked worlds best.
So again remind how even if there is a resolution bump to 4K...if... Then how with Samsung's efficient Amoled and panel tech and with an almost 900mah increase in battery.... Not to mention the more efficient Exynos chips and even more efficient all in one version of it........ Will the battery life be negated or worse???

[deleted post]Did you read "A Galaxy device without an S Pen is pretty useless"?

              1. "Galaxy device" - pertains to the Samsung brand, and not for other brand fanatics.
              2. 'Without an S Pen" - It's a tool you take out when you need it, and better for drawing with pressure sensitivity input like for app like Photoshop Touch, Sketchbook Pro, and jotting notes.
              3. "pretty useless" - I for one am not complacent for spending for the same price range and having a major feature missing.

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2015Really good. Smartphone now are comparable to our laptops a... moreEven if the battery will bumped up to 4000mAh, I would suspect the rumored high resolutioned screen would neutralize that battery bump up. Also, fast charging would shortens the battery capacity - research on that.

With my current Galaxy Note 3, I cycle three batteries because I'm a heavy user with using up to 2GB of data daily, and now their capacities aren't as good. Logic thinking would bring you to conclude that fix battery would not last as much.

Why are these people just complacent with less features and easily dazzled with stuff that shortens your device life?

Lol really, Plus? Wonder where they got that name from, I mean since Sammy has never copied, only innovated, according to their dwindling follower base.

s6 Edge is on super sale here, they can't clear the stocks, no one is buying it. $300 off, need one say more about how failed it is?

Meanwhile the biggest Sammy fan I know who had S series since day one when the Galaxy S came in 2010 is using iPhone and has no plans to go back to Galaxy.

I was also hoping for a Note 5 Edge, rather than just a Note 5.
I must say I'm pretty disappointed so far by the leaks and rumors.
I'm even concerned about the Exynos processor because every Exynos device I've owned has lagged after a few months of use and I read a lot of people who've used their S6 and S6 Edge devices for a few months have started to experience lag that makes their phones almost unusable. This has been my exact same experience with Exynos processors, whereas all the Qualcomm devices I've used (also from Samsung) do not have this problem.

I didnt hate s6 edge+ thats is the max thing it can goes / but i think at aleast note 5 should be diffrent with size 5.8 or 9 with display 4k and back camera 20 mp and 4 gigs ram and type c usb note 5 with at least sd card and it have to be aluminium back or note 5 will be screwed out with poor sells or it seems am speeking about note 6 :(

I think the screen diagonal must be 5.5" because SGS6+ appears to be slightly smaller in dimension when compared to SGN4 and of course up and down bezels are more when compared to SGN4 . Therefore it's screen diagonal must be 5.5" as pastry rumored

Really good. Smartphone now are comparable to our laptops and notebooks. No sd card and no removable battery. Who says iphone getting useless. They just release a 128gb memory stick that can wirelessly use with the iphone, so no need for low tech sd card slot. Even sim card will be gone in the next few years. Apple and Samsung already start developing e-sim for future smartphone. Smartphone are getting smarter by not having to transfer anything physically into them. This is what they aim for in the future. Everything will be wireless. Non removable battery gives us the fast wireless charging. I don't see why people are complaining when everything goes wireless. Those who are still stuck in the past technology, look back at your grandparents and how much they defend old tech; you are becoming like them. We are the future generation. Generation Z and Generation Alpha will overtake generation Y and X. You old people get out of our way. It is our turn to run the world our way.
