Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will have 4GB of RAM, benchmark reveals

24 July, 2015
The highly anticipated high-end phablet also seems to have borrowed the chipset from the Galaxy S6.

Belphegore, 24 Jul 2015whats the difference with my Note 2if you ask this, then you don't need it. really, you don't. I personally didn't/don't like N2, it has the same design like S3 but is a lot bigger and thicker which are both bad things in my opinion in this case. S3 looked ok for its size (ok at most :) ). the other differences matter only if you use the multimedia and note/productive features (which are greatly enhanced with each iteration).
the screen is amazing and I still can't believe how energy efficient it is :). the camera is superb, photos are great even in lower light; records videos in 4K and 1080p@60fps + it has OIS. the resolution makes it eve more adequate for multitasking. the S pen is a lot more improved and it has pressure sensor (or whatever it is called). supports the latest ultra-fast network technologies. it has fingerprint sensor (which is quite accurate even though it is the swipe type - it works almost every time for me :) ). metal frame which feels great and a great shape (again, my opinion) that helps for better grip + Gorilla Glass 4 (the phone is quite sturdy). infrared port (some ppl say it is mandatory, I don't use it). heart rate/UV/SpO2 sensor (it's a feature...). FAST charging - believe me, it matters ;). obviously better/faster SOC with obviously better/faster graphics. not sure how much the N2 heats up (probably again comparable with the S3) but I bet is does a lot more than the N4 (which doesn't heat much even in games and in rly high ambient temperatures). I'm pretty sure I left out many other great features :).

4GB still rumoured, for Verizon, it wud be bad if others be less. Gpu Cpu shud be Exynos 7422 than 808 Qualcomm. Its same as S6 Plus. Other is S6+Edge. Just imagine price 800+$ but its interesting S6Edge has today fallen officially to 600$ within 3 months. So just tie your. Hands by New year, get it for same

Yesterday, i went to Samsung shops in Dhaka and heard that Note 5 is going to be the most expensive mobile device yet from Samsung. In grey market Note 4 is still costing 550 $. In authorised showrooms Note 4 costs 1000 $.....

Was really expecting the Note 5 to come with the new 8MP Isocell sensor with the new color filter which Samsung announced months ago and claimed should have been ready for production already or around now.

Also hoping for larger sensor on the back. And hopefully "since we all sadly know it will probably be single down firing speaker" its more powerful and better quality than the 80-85DB one of the Note 4.

It's okay if they drop SD support as long as the Note 5 comes in 128, 256 and 512 GB options.

4GB RAM should be more than enough to run anything and Samsung's latest Exynos SoC is the most powerful chip available. No worries there.

About that battery, it should be removable. No one wants to send a phone to service center for a faulty battery and wait for ages to have it replaced and pay the bill afterwards.

I think samsung alway focus spec and want own phone higher many competitive. I am belive Note 5 has RAM 4G and at least Camera 16 MP or more.Samsung also can expand sortage up 128G as unveil before..

I don't understand why some of us want to crammed everything into this upcoming phablet. I have owned every Galaxy Note series and will include this on my next list and I ain't complaining a bit. If you want your own Galaxy Note 5, go and made it yourself. For the love of God, quit your whining.
