Oh, thats right, it had only been 6 years since the first Samsung Galaxy phone exist. They begin this in 2009 and Apple had started since 2007 so don't even compare them. At least they advanced faster than Apple did. Phone lag issue? All android smartphone have lags. If they had figured it out you think Apple still be standing today? The day when Samsung and Googgle figure out to get rid of android smartphone lags and hangs is the day Apple will crumble down in the mobile industry. Eat my words.

Samsung has a lot of work to do there. I'm a Galaxy Note user BTW, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with Samsung's glitchy, laggy, freezing software. After all these years they should have gotten it right. I'm not on the verge of trying some other device.

I stick with the Note 4 because it's still the most functional phone available now, however it certainly has some lag and it freezes intermittently.
I've owned Note 4, Note 3, Note 2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2, Nexus S (worse POS I ever encountered), Galaxy Nexus and Nexus One.
Of all the phones above the only one that did not lag was the Nexus One, the Galaxy Nexus would be the second smoothest - It didn't lag but it was certainly slow, very slow.
It's very disappointing that after all these years Samsung has not been able to eliminate Lag. Even the S6 has lag. I don't' currently own the S6, but I'm played with it and it certainly wasn't as smooth as I would have wanted. Also if you go online, lots of people are complaining about so much lag on the S6 after updating to the point that the phone is almost unuseable and I absolutely believe them because I've had similar experience with pretty much every Samsung phone I've used.
Again, I stick with the Note series and put up with the lag just because of the functionality, especially the S Pen.

I've had the iphone I've had the note 3 and the HTC m8 the one thing I've learned is on all the phones the update kills the speed and the lag time is horrible. They do it on purpose
