TheNeighbor, 03 Aug 2015For Samsung and the anti-micro SD slot crowd, only 11% say ... moreWell, those "majority" can buy the 64GB or 128GB version of it. If it's way too that expansive then stick with your Note 4 or whatever phone you have right now. And if it happens you wanted a new phone then go buy another brand. There's plenty of HTC, LG, Sony, Apple or OnePlus out there. Try Motorola too, heck no one gives a damn. Samsung is still gonna sell this Note 5 with or without SD or removable battery whether you like it or not. Simple. End of story.

zviki, 03 Aug 2015Well... Use USB key...Yay, I always wanted my phone to have an ugly tail that would put stress on the micro USB port and all but ensure that it breaks within the first few months of use. No. More likely (and sadly because I do truly love my other Samsung products) I'll be leaving Samsung for better options (as will many others) if these rumors prove true.

=no buy! If I wanted a fashion accessory phone I would buy an iphone or the edge crap. I want a practical phone that is intended for serious usage. This requires a micro-sd slot. If the phone does not come with a micro-sd I will be looking elsewhere.

I prey to god Samsung don't ditch the SD card slot. It was a bad move on the GS6 and if they keep doing it there us no point in their products for people who actually use their phone anymore.

For Samsung and the anti-micro SD slot crowd, only 11% say they don't need a memory expansion:

Stop arguing that 32GB internal is enough for today's HD media. 11% is of you are the minority, not the other way around, unless you give us some other survey that says otherwise.

Again no MicroSD card slot! I'd prefer Note 4, no matter how great the new Note 5 be! I think it is the perfect time to assassinate Samsung. If Micromax and/or other brands start shipping new devices with twin MicroSD slots (128GB + 128GB), Samsung will immediately realize why they did lose their throne! Pathetic, it is, to see that Samsung is taking such dumb steps. Why would someone need a UFS 2.0 drive if he cannot keep more than 64GBs of data? I mean, if I want to move a 1KB Text file, then why should I think about the transfer speed of 100Gbps? If Samsung really wants to remove MicroSD slot, then they must provide a minimum of 200GB internal storage. That's it.

I used Note 4 and it was awesome on camera and screen resolution side even it out pefomred my GS 6 in still photos and videos. but it was a bit bulky and screen size 5.7" a bit larger to carry in a pocket so simply ditched it. 5.5 would be a very reasonable size for Note series. Removable SD card is a plus for Samsung series and one of the reasons most of the pple would opt for samsung than iphone. hope they take this serious.

AnonD-312515, 03 Aug 2015PC's aren't portable devices with limited internal space, t... moreRegardless, a phone is a computer and can be used as such. If there is no expandability, then there is less usability. Let us also not forget laptops such as mine that have 3 hard drive slots and 5 usb ports (all while being completely portable) and the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (tablet, and every bit as portable as any phone) which has options for up to 8gb ram and 512gb internal storage, but still has microsd because (sadly) Microsoft knows that in order to make money in a customer reliant business, a company must listen to their customers. Like I the excuse for not having a microsd port is just that, an excuse.

Peter, 03 Aug 2015If the news is true and there is no SD card and no removabl... moreAgreed. They should up the memory capacity a lot.
I mean they are only world leaders in memory development and fabrication.....but they cant make more than 128GB and only just now dropped the 16GB minimum?????? For real....

awesome, this is the kind of missteps to unsure that Samsung will fall from its throne. I'm sick and tired of Samsung shoving phones with tons of junks and lagwiz down our throat with no updates after a year or so (and if they do release an update, it's >6 months after google releases a new android). This year, they also removes the absolutely beloved micro-sd option and removable battery, which I'm sure attracted a lot of iPhone detractors to android.

Samsung's latest smartphone is shaping up to be a big disappointment sadly non removable battery, no micro-SD card expansion slot - a little premature to make a final judgement but disappointing result so far.

SS-3, 02 Aug 2015I'm glad I got my Note 4 a few weeks back for $1.00 from Be... moreGiven that you are in a 2 year contract $1 for a Note 4 isn't really a bargain is it.

Battousai, 02 Aug 2015That is no different then saying that PCs shouldn't have US... morePC's aren't portable devices with limited internal space, they're usually big and stationary so you can hook up as many crap as you want to it and it wouldn't matter. Bad comparison.

If the news is true and there is no SD card and no removable battery, Samsung should consider 256GB internal storage and 4000 capacity battery. For me I have already above 128 GB combination of data, photo and video but less than 200 GB. So if Samsung does not come with big internal storage, I will for sure not able to migrate yo Note5. Option for me to consider the new motorola (if it has SD card), Sony and HTC. However this is a stupid move from Samsung.

If these are the specks ... Samsung is staring at another low selling phone.
In fact it will be a disaster.
Samsung trying to self destruct their cell phone division?? I wonder.

just wait until iPhone uses microsd, then samsung will follow.
