no doubt nokia phone is still the most stable, simple, friendly and still we are using 3310 or 1100 series despite the smart phone which we have.

Failed simple because of not adopting Android or any new OS as the internet became prominent on cellphones. I still have N72 from 2007 which is still running without even a battery replacement.

You know today buying a budget or midrange device is hell hard cause none of the new companies produce quality/price. If you going for high end u can choose apple blindly where for mid range none is there. Some lying Chinese companies and some useless companies. Nokia would be a great choice in this range.

I love the NOKIA, for ever.
it was my Legendary Mobile Phone at all.
I'm using The NOKIA LUMIA 1520 Now.
it is amazing to use it.
I'm hopeful for coming back the NOKIA to the Top Of Mobile devices Mount Royal !!!

You have NO idea how well thought out, smooth and fluid Symbian really is unless you owned a Nokia 808Pureview and/or 701.
One example which is a complete disaster quality-wise on e.g. a Samsung Galaxy S5 but a fantastic experience on said Nokia 701 or 808 is the following.
1) Connect your phone to the Aux-in port of your car's stereo system.
2) start the media player to play some MP3's (a complete album of your choice)
3) then start the navigation app (Nokia Drive) from e.g. within the address-book (a contact which has its address supplied) or from withing the agenda (when you have also input the location of your appointment).
4) drive (and enjoy)
What will you notice (especially when enjoying music at louder volumes):
1) No pop, clicks or other disturbing noises between songs
2) when the navigation-app demands attention the following happens
---> the music quickly but smoothly fades out
---> the navigation app speaks its directions (while in the background your music continues to play softly)
---> the music smoothly fades in
all without pops, clicks or any disturbances
This is the same behavior what you demand from your thousand dollar costing factory installed head unit with navigation.
The above scenario also works when you're playing music and you receive a call with the only difference that when in a call no music plays in the background. But again there are no clicks, pops or other disturbances when the call ends and the music fades back in.
THAT is the quality that I DEMAND in 2015! Not a QHD multi-core multi-GPU monster which can't even play a few MP3's after each other without pops and clicks like the crappy SGS5!
So people WAKE UP! Instead of drooling over insignificant techno-shit like QPHFDX-screens and hexa-octa-kaka-cores demand quality of use! Demand smooth MP3 playback without pops and clicks, demand fluid and smooth navigation apps with smooth voice directions (without pops and clicks between instructions), demand fluid interaction between apps (in this case Agenda/address-book and sat-nav-app), demand quality not quantity!

I still feel that Ellop was the person behind Nokia's failure in the end. If they had decided to adopt Android instead of Windows, they would have survived even at that stage.

Nokia has been a part of my mobile maturity here in d Philippines,.though they release so many models ,..you want to buy them all,.some times it gets frustrating,.the cp You bought is topped by a new version next month,..anyway I think Nokia cps are sturdier in their built and will outlast their competion,..I hope they will have a comeback sometime...heres to d icon,.for d memories..with an event carried to each phone model in my lifetime,..cheer o.

moreover they were charging same amounts for their keypad symbian mobiles as android phones and iphones!!
who would prefer an inferior product over superior for same price and still when nokia is nowhere their prices are as high as premium android sets...

really hard time and bad decision causes Nokia fall but when android rises it's Nokia's stubbornness and not going with the wave results loss of it's industry what if Nokia adopt android then their is different scene we might see today but as people say whatever happen that happen for good let see this EPIC FALL RESULTS AN EPIC RISE RISE of a NEW SMARTPHONE LEADER IN NEAR FUTURE.

There is still a chance for Nokia to make a strong come back.
It's not so much being to slow to adapt to nice touch devices. That was part of it, but it didn't actually take them that long. They even had dual core 1.2 GHz when we had the 1GHz single core Galaxy S1.
It was more a lacking in the tech which they picked up only slightly late....But more the lack of advancing Symbian.
With s60 smart phones in the 2009 range Symbian was very advanced. In fact if you have one it's a great phone and probably great multi media device. However app usage and web conectivity is crap compared to now.
The Belle updates were nice, but a bit late and still left more to be desired compared to the advancing of Android.
iOS just had a bunch of blind followers.
And also not making Android devices. Plus of course Elope making poor decisions and purposefully sabotaging them.
But I think they will come back with some strong Android devices. And hopefully we see a very very nice 1020 successor some time this century.
