Plenty of the iPhone 5c sold here in Australia and I believe it was the biggest selling iPhone for sometime in the UK. It's a good alternative for people who like iOS but don't want all the latest hardware stuff.
I don't know anyone who bought it because they couldn't afford the more expensive models, they just like it for what it is. In much of the world an iPhone isn't a symbol of prestige, it's just a very easy to use mobile.
If you want to " look" good then do something for someone else besides yourself. What kind of person judges another by the phone they use?

The only places I've actually seen them is in the US (and lame selfie posts on Facebook/Blogs from who knows). I think the 5C is more of a poor-mans iPhone for those Americans who want to be part of the "in" crowd and say they have an iPhone.
As for Anon's comment that it's a hot selling device, from the statement "$0" sounds like they wouldn't care what handset it was and it's more the phone companies pushing the Apple agenda for their own profit than the peoples choice in a quality product.

Instead of 4", I believe 4.3", 4.7&quo... more4'' (16:9) & 3.5'' (4:3) is the perfect size for a normal human palm / thumb to wrap around the phone. Asian hands in the other hand is gonna stretch abit on 4''.
Apple never go for bigger then that until the reachability feature.
So kinda good for 4'' / 4.7'' / 5.5''.

If it comes with TouchID, a bigger battery and the same dimensions as the 5s but with a faster processor, then consider it as my next phone.

How is the 5c a flop? Apple is still selling right now. The iPhone 5c is only a "flop" in the eye of tech bloggers since you guys assume people only buy top end phones all the time. If you go out in the real world, there are actually a lot of regular people using the 5c. Go to SE Asia and you see those phones even more. I wouldn't buy the 5c, but I don't consider it a flop unless you have a sales data that indicates its sales do not generate enough revenue for Apple to cover its production cost. Since Apple is still selling it, I doubt it is a flop.

iOS isn't suited for cheap hardware, and they don't work well. This 6c will suffer.

good combination size
i'm an Android user but i think a 4" phone is still important
i think iphone c series is fit for teenagers or somebody with small hands

Well all I gotta say is this; if it has to be 4" then ftloG man they gotta figure out how to fit a 2000mAh ++ batt in it because people shouldn't complain if it gets thicker for that. Ffs it's a 4" phone.

The 5C was by no means "cheap", just more ... moreits a game breaker for apple. the iphone5c did very well, it outsold the galaxy s4 (released on the same year) it out sold the note 3, and it's still outsell the galaxy s5. the reason being is, people enjoy the simple ios system and another reason is.

yes the iphone5c is 0 dollars,
and people go for it. People also know it lasts a long time, so its a good investment.

loooooove it.
working at one of North America's biggest Carriers, by far I sold more Iphone5c's then any other devices because it's 0 dollars on a 2 year term. I was worried they wouldn't do this.
most popular devices on contract renewals I noticed as a phone salesmen
1iphone5c
2 iphone6 16gb
3 iphone6 plus 16gb
4 nexus 5
5 the rest.

I don't think anyone really cares about the nm the processor is built using(even though it improves battery life) more than the screen size, and 4" might just be very small. They can make it 4.3" or 4.5" instead.

Yes!! please release a smaller 4 inch handset Apple.
Gosh the iPhone 6 with a 4.7 inch screen is just far too wide to handle with one hand. The phone is too big it's similar dimensions to the Samsung Galaxy S3.
iPhone 6 just isn't compact enough, and way too thin, and with a case on the width goes from 67mm to 68.5mm, it's just too wide, gosh a nightmare to operate and text with one hand.
Apple should definitely release a follow-up to the iconic iPhone 5c, such a good looking and compact device, easy to use with one hand, and not slippery at all.
