... or perhaps Samsung is just first using the rest of the world as testers to sort out any bugs if any before bringing the device to Europe.

Ive followed the Samsung Note series from the first day the Note 1 came out. Stopping the Note 5 from coming to Europe just by assuming people dont use the Stylus is appalling. I cant believe I have to say this now. I have to go back to Apple. If this happens, I wouldnt be surprised if motorola gets a higher income than samsung this year.

Utter nonsense from Samsung. Why on earth would you exclude 750 million people from your phone market?
I have waited to upgrade from 3-5 but will now look elsewhere. Well done Samsung you are losing a customer. Please give your marketing department a pat on the back for being complete idiots

You screw up big time Samsung! Not buying this at all NO Removable Battery & NO Micro SDCard is killer for power user requirements! Really dumb move Samsung, yes you can getaway with it with S6 as they are not power users, but Note series has always been about productivity. I had note 1-4 and it ends now with my Note 4 why would anyone with Note 4 upgrade!

I'm disgusted by this attitude. They released the Note Edge which bombed, they launched the S6 Edge saying it's the best selling model when the S6 outsells it, so to save face they force the S6 Edge+ on Europe. I don't want a curved screen. It looks terrible. I just hope LG release the G4 Pro in Europe now.

They lying, they wanted to sold out N910F and N910C models first because they know Note 5 will not sell to much and it is bad reputation for shamesung.

It's not a matter of how much it would sell.

Samsung had a big event, covered by the press. Papers and common news sites will write about the products.

The Note5 is a mainstream device, in cosidering how it was announced.

When people get to know that some Samsung flagship products, won't be released in europe, that creates badwill for the company. No matter it those were potential buyers or not.

If the Note5 would have been a nische release, things would have been different.
But it was a star at at a globaly covered event.

This was a terribly bad strategy.
If they were smart about it, they would have launched the S6 edge+ in europe one day ahead. Not talking about other markets, and then made the announcement of the S6 edge+ the following day, with global release schedule. And then as a bonus for witing, thrown in the Note5.
That way, most of media would have focused on the S6 edge+. And few europeans would have even heard of the Note5 release.

AnonD-424201, 14 Aug 2015To those who are angry (like me) with the way that Samsung ... moreSales numbers mean nothing.
The sales of the Note 4 increased this year due to a disappointing S6. A lot of die-hard Galaxy S-fans either remained with their S5 or S5 plus (the Snapdragon 805 variant) or went to the Note 4 instead of an S6/edge.

I think that for a lot of people the logical progression from their S4/S5 will be the Note 4. True Galaxy S fans want removable battery and SD-slots. The 2 main H/W-features that were typical for Galaxy S-series.

It's clear to me that Samsung is a clueless company and that they eventually will fall. I expect a rise up from Sony or even HTC in the near future. Or perhaps the small new Nokia might be resilient enough to pick up with high quality devices where they left off.

AnonD-364786, 14 Aug 2015Phablets are not that popular in Europe and samsung might b... moreNo... THIS Note will be a flop.

Because in Europe prices are much higher than in the rest of the world. Samsung knows that 64GB and 128GB will be much too expensive yet they're smart enough to realize that a Note 5 32GB without SD-card expansion is a NO-GO in Europe.

Which is the main reason why devices with SD-card expansion are a MUST in Europe.

So they'll wait this one out a bit and probably next year the 64/128 models can be manufactured or sold cheaper so they don't get flamed too much.

Whatever. Samsung sold us out. My S5 will be my last Samsung. S5 Lolipop no themes, no soft shadows under icons (thus FUgly UI) while the S6 get the good lolipop version :-(
But S6 no SD-card, no removable battery... that's not an S-series but an A-series IMHO.

And now who wants it here the next year? A 4 or 5 months old phone!!! New ones with new specs will be released by then.
You will loose even more users now Samsung.
