Phablets are not that popular in Europe and samsung might be knowing it better than us.
Samsung knows how much phablets they sold in Europe. If note series is not doing well in europe it makes lots of sense , not to release note 5 there.
Anyway its clear that Note series is a flop in europe ;-)

No, buying unlocked abroad won't work with local sim thanks to very nice Samsung region lock. Motorola seems a good option, we'll see how it behaves in review!

I am not dissapointed Note 5 will not be available in EU, because its specs are utterly disapointing to start with. I guess people who use S-pen want a bit of creativity and versatility of their phones. With it usually comes a need for independance, security etc., which strongly involves removable battery and SD card. So probably Note 5 will not get too many buyers anyway. My guess is, Samsung slowly abandones note series, going where the fashion and mass make the rules. Shame for losing the guts and vision, Sammy.

Is Samsung for real now? "Europe is not interested in the Note series"
Come one, that is definitely not true. Samsung better ship the Note5 in Europe or they will loose too many customers, me included.

Sealed battery, Non-expandable memory, smaller battery....Well what do you know, turns out Sammy has become the biggest apple fanboy of all. It would've been ironic if it wasn't so sad!

I don't believe that this is a real info. It just can't be true that Samsung won't sell their one the best two products in Europe. Also, notes were doing quite well in Europe and their notes have always been even better than their flagship phones.

Obviously the Note series doesn't sell as much as the Galaxy S series, as it's a niche product. Could be that sales of the previous Note 4 wasn't any good in EU. Also the iPhone 6+ have captured a large chunk of that market, but that goes for all areas.
So either Samsung is playing the wait and see game, or they can't manufacture enough phones at launch, and therefore has to pick the most profitable market for first release.

To those who are angry (like me) with the way that Samsung is following with its top line phones...don't forget something...Samsung WILL know by their sales numbers how we are feeling. By then they will listen to their fans again but it will cost Millions. They are forgeting that!

AnonD-44275, 13 Aug 2015Samsung gone wrong again, no launch in europe is funny haha... moreA friend of mine has an iPhone 5S and it has a 5 second lag when trying to type something, anywhere. Sometimes it also hangs a few good seconds when trying to press something, anything. Iphones are by no means clear of their own problems, they have at least as much as Androids. Apple's quality is literally bottom shelf. Their cables break, their screens break extremely easily, their phones bend, they lag, it's just low quality all around.
