I dont get why people expect their phones to get updated.
A few years back, android was really lacking in functionality, and every update was critical, to even bring it up to par with Windows Mobile or Symbian.
That is no longer the case.
Most updates comes with little importatn changes.
Sure, there is one important change this time, at least in this list. The app permission. We should have had that long ago. And iOS even got it before, despite the fact that Android has more issues with malware apps.
If google had done a better OS, they could have updated parts of the system instead of a complete install, thus enabling more devices to get updated.
The phones that don't get updated, will still function as they did when you got them.
If that is a phone, that at least runs jelly bean or later, it will still offer you full smartphone experience.

the newer the version of android the more problem it is. Only a fraction of all android users are using lollipop and it's been a disaster. Google is getting lazy.

Typical Lagdroid and SHamsung marketing strategy, releasing dozens of phones but only 1 or 2 will be updated to the new version of their Laggy OS and then it will have bugs even if updated. lol.
