Anonymous, 25 Aug 2015Apple iPhone copied HTC's M7 One back design Apple iPhone ... moreOh yeah? then why are they using m7's design on m9? so you admit HTC gives consumers old design on new models? btw m7 is not so round like iphone6. but a9 is very close to i6.

Pretty sure the iPhone 5s had the glass back when the HTC One M7 had that same looking back that the iPhone 6 now uses.

In fact I have a One M7 sitting right here and sure looks like the iPhone 6 but it was released in 2013? Lol

Kinda tired of the "everyone copies Apple" click bait articles :/

HTC can easily be commented as the brand who made the unibody metal design accessible to a larger audience. Apple started with it using metal in the first iphone but, as anything else, didn't invent it.
HTC was the first to use the design (and necessary) feature of the all metal body with plastic covers at the top and bottom (also copied by Huawei for the G7). The use of plastic strips in stead of covers or caps is again no invention of apple but a necessity first applied by HTC in their One series. In short, the design of the iphone 6 is in no way innovative nor refreshing but then again there aren't many ways to design a smartphone and in the end it isn't important. As long as it does what you expect from it.

Do I, or the others, need to really elaborate on this over and over again (still?!)?! Apple is so popular now, everyone will always assume that they are the innocent victim. I'm not a HTC fanboy but I can give credit to where credit is due. The stripes at the back are to help with the communication technology of the phone. People seem to forget that the M7 One was the first device to incorporate a full solid body aluminum body. When the M7 One came out, everyone started doing the same and until now, Apple fanboys and girls still have the cheek to complain about copying...

Would make sense for it to be called the a9 afterall it is going to be another iteration of the m9. This is not going to boost HTC in anyway.

No they mean where , the size and the shape of the camera and the shape of the phone altogether, the antenna line just are more significant

Oh,i know you prefer apple, but this article is just exactly the opposite in reality.Apple copied the m7 design, end of story.Since Htc are making smartphones, their design are being copied,Htc is an Original Design, everyone copies, even a bigger company like apple

How is it impossible to tell the difference between the two when looking at the back (if the camera wasn't in the center)??? The HTC logo is very different to an Apple logo...

search in google voor HTC M7 v.s iphone 6. and look who is coping who.
HTC M7 is realease in 2013 so HTC was first who come with this design.

To all the "geeks" who thinks this is about stealing design from one another. The two stripes on the back plate is a method to prevent interference between NFC, GSM and Bluetooth signals, and its not a design element nor a copyrighted patent. So please, stop throwing crap about companies!

I truly want legend, great, innovative, genuine handsets that could beat Apple on the ground.
Today's smartphones are getting boring and boring.
I need that legend to comeback.
We really need a company like Nokia to take over all that BS.

There was for sure not much love for htc fromy side in the last couple of months or let's say since the disappointing one m8 but in this case you really have to say that HTC was the first with this design. Apple copied HTC design and not the way round, the one m7 was there way before the iPhone 6 so you really cannot blame the for the design ;)
