I have a note 5. You would have to be an idiot to put it in the wrong way. Its not evenly shaped in anyway. You cant even put it in the wrong way without applying force.

Its unethical.... whos samsung to tell me.. what way is the right way........even church has accepted to the fact ...no way is the right way or the wrong way.......we dont need a user manual to say that......:):)
Samsung should redesign the phone making it right both the ways or stopping selling the phone..:)

This may be in the manual but who can honestly say that they read the manual? What we expect from Samsung, as big as they are, is to thoughtfully design their products to not lead to a situation like this.

What if a toddler/kid do that, like after playing games on an adult's Note? It's not like they could read the manual or have a clear idea of which side is which. Or if you're in a hurry while you hurriedly pick your S Pen up from the desk and insert to the phone etc? Reading the manual doesn't mean these scenario won't happen.

Would a regular pen/pencil/painterview brush be deemed a design failure if some people became confused and/or offended because they couldn't use it upside down?

Samsung teaching us to read the User Manual first. Seriously, it really did written there with warning not to insert it in the wrong way. You can't argue written document, not even in court. I guarantee 99% who buy Note5 toss away the manual.

Its easy to see they're not very eager to adapt USB-C connector type. Insert any way you like. Same should've been done to the stylus - insert any way you like, it should still stay in place. But no, they just add it to the manual.
So many companies missing simple people looking for simple UX (user experience), its scary. Devices are getting more complex daily, but when will they also become easier to use?
