I don't understand why Nokia won't release a model of the n900 to support 3g on North American Networks. I would have ordered this phone a LONG time ago. Same with the Milestone or any other higher end phones. Only work on very limited amount of towers.

i went to nokia care kerala(india).there is no new update after 31.0.101 i dont know wtf is this.people commenting about new updates,no idea ,right or wrong

my installer is not working, i did the firmware update and whenver i try to instal an app it says Installer busy, i restarted the fone but nothing happened any possible help???

The new update rox it has got many new features i have just uploaded it in 5800 and when the phone is locked the call and alarm feature is just amazing plus the kinetic scrolling

Two updates for a brand new phone. Do Nokia no longer test handsets? Its almost as if they use the buying public as Beta testers. Perhaps they're taking a leaf out of SE's book.

I normallyhate Nokia, the symbian operating system is terrible. The n900 however is a fantastic device and these updates can only make it better!

woo hoo a new N900 update, unfortunately it also broke h.264/avc movie playback for a lot of people, whats wrong with Nokia, they used to be king.... :(

my phone software version shows 31.0.101.c01.01 in my 5800, and when i search for update through my phone and also on site .. i cant find version 40.0.
can somebody pls tell me .. why i am getting it. or is is country specific and not released in India.
i am waiting for kinetic scrolling and decustomised home screen.

I have updated my 5800 but i haven't qwerty keyboard!!! Is this normal? I like much more qwery of normal keyboard

Nokia does not take care of the major features. N900 should be No.1 for its expensive price. however, the current features made it as a very weak and silly device. I'm buying a phone not a toy. Nokia, you're requested to improve it soon. This is your duty and responsibility to satisfy your clients!

nokia try to cover from entry to high end touch screen phone
and it is all about the hardware , not the OS !

i feel that its normal to feel fustrated. its indeed a wrong marketing move because i know some people who were ready to dump their 5800 and get a 5530 just because of kinetic scrolling and now that this update is available, they wont change phone and thus no additional sales will be made.
also each phone should have its own personality via the specs but nokia failed to understand that since the 3 variants are now the same, kinda like triplets

Not happy with the update for the N900.
Still can’t create a playlist,
No equalizers,
Picture gallery still a mess because no folders,
No portrait mode for whole phone
These are basic things that Nokia have always done for their phones. Nokia N900 such a powerful device and expensive too and yet none of the things above are included. WTF?!
