Those people want to pay premium because of the look not specification, you have now two choices iPhone and Samsung Note5/Edge+. Keep the business phone with removable battery and SD card for us and we don't mind the LG Pro has the plastic back....We are paying for the look we are paying for the features....Good move LG...

I think plastic phones will never be absent in every manufacturer. Though the problem is, high end phones, which I think you want, are made of premium materials - something you don't want.
Manufacturers can't please or give the individual demands of every user. What else can we do? They're there. You just have to stick to the available models that will suit your demands, unless you'll plan to venture in this industry in the future and make your own phone.

My phone's always in a case so if this puppy has front facing speakers on top of a removable battery, SD card and top tier camera, it will definitely replace my Note 3. If not, I'll wait to see the Nexus 6 and choose between it and the Moto X Pure. I can't wait to boot Samdung.

S... moreThey could in theory, in practice, with the design and placement of the antennas, it would be a real pain.
Plastic may not be the most stylish choice, but it is the most practical. Perhaps a compromise like Kevlar would be doable...?
