So i will stick with the "duh" lines. They sell cause they are more promoted then anyother;). They don't sell cause they are better!

Living in this miniworld where innovations are way behind everything but sell as new premium austounding bla bla bla, they have no time to look at the reallity. But well, you put it way better then i did:)). So, cudos to you.

P.s. Actually, i will never pay apple a dime if you ask me, their devices dissgust me in so many levels i need my own blog to describe. But well. That's another story.

This guys are so behing with what NOKIA came, is almost painful to look at the future where there is no nokia development. Please someone give NOKIA a great OS. They will build you true hardware, true innovation. They are made for it. This puppets here and the ones from samdung just follow and follow. Wander when all NOKIA ideas they copy end, what would they further do? Probably they'll make the toilet phone. Don't have where to go? Go on your phone. Disgusting. More market gimmik then a coca pepsi cola bottle.

Anonymous, 10 Sep 2015Lol. What materials? And it's no where even in the slightes... moreI didn't say it was perfect, I even mentioned about the iTunes which always in need, but somehow benefits the app (or contents creators) developers as a copyright protection. And neither I said it has zero lags. It surely has, in the matter of miliseconds that you will rarely notice even after 2 years of usage. But software optimization has more to do than just to anticipate lags. See my word "integration" in my previous comment? I hope you catch the meaning. I won't give you any long explanation about every integration Apple does to iOS. So time consuming.
I got your points about the materials though. It was my mistake to include that point previously. Not all people understand the differences between materials, and yes materials alone will never justify the price on any devices.
Well that to be said, I myself is a happy Android and iOS user.
It's just, the need to replace my Android in every one and a half years for performance degradation time after time, while my previous 3 years old iPhone just ran smoothly (with small degradation in performance after 3 years) with the same usage has already justified the price, at least for me.
And I will continue to use both anyway, so I'll stop the arguing here.

And it's usually only replying back with the truth to a false fan comment in the first place.

And you are implying that apple fans are not everywhere all over the entire internet on other pages starting things when they by far are.

First of all it may be thin but in side and top bezels it still has the foot print of a brick.
And just because you don't feel like you need 1080p does not change the fact that they are charging the same or more for that 720p that others have 1080p and QHD. Some being better quality in most or all ways.

It's only a fraction faster than a few. And not even in the top ten of best in image quality.

Zero lag? Now I know you have never actually used one.

Just like other companies they have goog and bad customer support stories.
I don't think leaving millions of users with defective phones is good support.

Just work? Lol. That's my favorite fairy tale used by sh33p.
Your type is the reason they get away with charging so much for so little...Oh well I don't need more......Great...Neither do the people that get better phones for $150-$300 retail.

When the 5s came out the updated the 5 to the full update and discontinued it.
Even the 4s was "not capable" of a full update supposedly......... Some things even being minor camera updates.

IT TOOK THEM OVER 2 YEARS TO INCLUDE MMS INTO IPHONES! lololol. For crying out loud. Seriously.....

And it's no where even in the slightest close to any bit of the supposed optimization that apple says it has or all of you try and claim. iOS well more than has it's own set of bugs and issues. Just like any other product in the world it is far from perfect. As it is a product of reality rather than fiction like some like to think. iOS indeed has lags and hiccups.
And for years they have had a proven World lead in app crashes.

And again...Lol.. What materials??? The 6 plus....JUST came as the first with series 7000 aluminum.....And even that does not justify the price.

So the software is only a little more optimized....And only in some ways, but lacks in many others just the same.
The hardware except for maybe the cpu cores for the most part is way behind in price to spec ratio.
And the materials are far behind in asking price.....

All you are paying for is the apple label.

The same reason as why a BMW or a Mercedes with 2.0L engine costs more than a Toyota Camry with 3.5L V6. Yet both Europeans are also performing better.

Technical specs are all about raw performance. Nothing more. It is the optimization that turns that raw into a well-done.
If we're paying premium for Apple devices, we're not only paying for the specs alone. We're actually paying for the materials. Most importantly, it's for the optimized software integration, for the copyright protection to those dedicated developers whose apps won't easily be copied and pasted by anybody (the devices depend on iTunes, and need to be jailbroken which will void the warranty, whereas Android only requires several taps on privacy settings), and also for those people who keep the 4 years old iPhone 4S and iPad 2 to still getting the newest iOS 9 in 2015. Not to mention, to pay the excellent marketing team as well.

Now if we were getting the Galaxy S6's specs to the iPhone in order to justify the price, then the 4S and iPad 2 wouldn't have been getting updates since at least last year. And the App Store would have lost more quality apps that just work well within a year, replaced by malwares and spams that easily inserted into free downloadable apk installers.

Specs don't mean performance but it means premium
If an iPhone can perform well with these specs what's the problem with having even better specs. It'll be more future proof.
The iPhone is like a mid range android phone with ios which makes it "premium

AnonD-341196, 10 Sep 2015Using it daily for 1 year says so. Screen to body ratio is ... moreSpeaking of user experience having nothing to do with specs...

I have a better user experience with a larger screen. If this larger screen doesn't fit in my pocket, I will be unable to enjoy it wherever I go. I can compromise aspects of my life to accommodate such a larger device, like buying different clothes with larger pockets, carrying a bag to store my device in. I can get a larger screen in a smaller device simply by getting a device with the best Screen-to-Body ratio, like others have mentioned.

The same goes for the battery size debate. If I want more juice away from outlets with an iPhone I have to carry around a spare battery and charge it that way. Again, compromise. I can put a 6-amp hour battery in my LG G3 and have it last for several days without worry or charging (on a trip, etc).

The same goes for expandable storage. If I only have so much data on my line, I can only stream so much per month from cloud-based storage. I can easily run out of space on my iPhone and then be without for a time. I can accommodate this by spending more money per month to have more data available to me. Compromise. Or I can get a phone with expandable storage, increasing capacity from 24GB usable to 150GB usable for about $40. Then I can have all of my media right at my fingertips without worrying about signal or data.

If I continue to make compromises in my life for a device that you're saying gives the best user experience, is it really true? I understand that everyone uses their phone differently, but these examples are surely relatable to almost every smartphone user. Power, screen size, and storage/data usage.

If peop... morePerhaps you didn't read what jtrogr wrote about price inflation strategies to which I was replying to. You're missing the point here. There are many different marketing techniques that Apple uses with their products but one of those is "premium price for a premium device". This aligns with the "higher price is better" mentality that is very real, and also allows them to ignore features but still charge premium prices.

We are not talking about the market here. People pay that price for a multitude of reasons, and one of them is that they relate cost to value.
