I have tried Note 4, HTC M9, Galaxy S6 edge, LG G4 over past couple of months. These wonderful phones allow all the customization you have mentioned in your post.
Guess what... I am deeply disappointed with Android top dogs. Some heatup, some have issue with SIM when data was on, some heatup, some have terrible battery life. I will not name which phone has which issue... You can find that out from internet.
I really miss my iPhone 6Plus and will buy iPhone 6s as soon as I can and bee back on that boring interface that actually let me do what I want without instructions on installing this app or that or using memory optimizer regularly. I donot have to turn off data or WiFi to conserve battery. And oh, not a lot of phones can match Screen on Time of iPhone !!!!

I think your missing the point, or I wasn't very clear.
Buy what you want. It's what you want. But I want this and that's what makes the world go round! The point of the post was it doesn't matter what you own or your neighbour owns, what you like and what your neighbour likes. Its all about what makes you feel happy and what you feel most comfortable with and not coming down on someone because they have a different ideals. Now let's just al try to get along and hope Sony doesn't bring out Z6 in five months, Samsung remove more of their custom UI and Apple build a laser canon into iPhone 7.
PS I'm a droid user but I've had an iPhone and I might again or I might not. It's just a matter of choice and what suits your needs at the time.
PPS I still think the Motorola V3 is the best. Well actually the V3i D&G. Now that was bling before bling existed.

Comments like this is simply stupid. With a simple tab, I can switch my Note 4 UI to virtually anything you like. IPhone is nothing but boring.

Guys and probably more guys,
You'll all right and by the same token you're all wrong! Fanboys, Fandroids, Windfans/Microbuddies and Bob. Why can't we all just get along and admit no matter what a manufacturer does we'll always find a way to malign it if it's not produced by our favourite company. Let's just face it all we do is make calls and sent texts most of the time and on the odd occasion look up dubious web sites (or so I've heard).
If you want a phone with a UI that's evolved over time and is very intuitive buy an iPhone. If you want a huge screen and more POWER than Doc Browns DeLoren buy an Android product. If you want something different Microsoft is waiting in the wings and if your madder than a weasel in a barrel of bees there is always Balckberry!
IOS and Android both have pros and cons and we all know what they are. I mean we only have to trawl through the comments we find on sites like this. For instance a pro with Apple is all the apps are designed for a small range of handsets so they tend to works very well and look wonderful. With Android there is so much fragmentation the app's on a number of occasions never really look complete or as polished. If you want more licence with what you can do with your phone or you have a budget Android is your man. If you want a piece of well though out ergonomics and a second to none finish Apple do rule the roost (excluding the C's), but if you want a pretty phone packed with features buy Samsung. And for those with a sweet tooth if you want a phone that looks like a bar of chocolate then Sony's Z's are the one for you.
And in the end it doesn't matter, a phone is just a tool, its there to make our lives better and not rule our lives (and don't say it doesn't my wife hardly speaks to me any more with her Candy Crush addiction. Hold on why am I complaining about that.... My wife doesn't speak to me any more.... I'm free.......).
In the end its all about what team you support, Arsenal, Liverpool (that left a bad taste in my mouth as I typed it) or Leyton Orient (someone has to support them... Anybody? Anyone?). It's what you like and what you want. Just remember how boring would it be if there was only one team or one manufacturer (look at Formula One at the moment) or even one haircut. Diversity is what its all about and let's just embrace it... And anyway you're all wrong my Motorola V3 is the best.........

So basically this 3D Touch display does the same thing that Air View does on the Samsung Galaxy S4 which came out 2 years ago? Another brilliant piece of innovation from Apple!

But for 600eur i expect to be a decent one for 1-2 years. Every year is the same thing. Samsung has killer specs but after 4-5 mounts starts to lag as hell.And the support for their phones is... Just take a look around the forums. No upgrades or waiting for ages to come. At least Apple delivers them fast.

Maybe you used only apple products and never use an android for long time
I have used Iph5s, in same time with sony z3C, the sony win as daily use
then used Iph6 along galaxy S6, and the best for every day use are galaxy s6
I still use Iph6 as company phone , but never can be egual with today high end smarthone

my Samsung galaxy e7 is better or equal to iPhone 6s. because
1) it has a super amoled screen with the 3rd best sunlight legibility in the history of smartphones. perfect black and viewing angles as well as rich vivid colours. iPhone has washed out screen with blacks that deep down you know are grey. this makes my phone better in watching movies, viewing photos, feasting on the graphics of games. (these my main point)
2) it has 13mp camera and 5mp on the front with wide angle selfie, palm shot, voice control, lots of movement shot mode, beauty shot etc iPhone has 12mp camera with accurate colour(dull colour) with hdr and live photo(it's a photo that when you touch plays a 3 sec video which is just a video)
3) e7 has better controls with a back key, multi tasking key, home button volume control. iPhone has a mute key volume control and power button and home key.
4)it has multi window which is the best multi tasking solution ever, private mode, single hand mode, etc
5) it can play more video codecs.
6) it has an fm radio
7) Bluetooth file sharing
8) all the android greatness
9) 2gb ram
10) SD card slot which can be used for second sim
11) bigger battery
now iPhone is smoother but will you prefer a first plane devoid of any function but a slower by a micro second more fun approach.
it is also more powerful but I am yet to find a game or app that is so powerful that snapdragon 410 can't handle it.
just for fun but seriously I think iPhone is a good phone which is perfect.
