Anonymous, 12 Sep 2015Please, name a single 4GB Android smartphone that actually ... moreI'm having a hard time thinking of ANY Android phone that uses >3GB other than the Note 5, and as a Note 4 owner, I'm not going anywhere. 3GB is plenty but necessary, you're right ...brute force to make 'Android' a fluent operating system. Doubling the compute cores, tripling the RAM and doubling the core clock speeds ...just to 'keep up'.
My Note 4 without garbage, it's my business line, from a cold boot on LP is 'using' 2.1-2.3GB of RAM Just with background! Not a single app from AT&T or Samsung can be 'shut down' to consume less and most apps are incredibly redundant to the already (& mandatory) included host of Google apps.
Hell, some even call themselves the same thing. (Messenger.... Ugh! PITA).
Be cool when that thick layer of peanut butter is written out of Android's OS ...I mean JavaScript. And when more companies follow Apple and Sammy's leads designing and implementing and optimizing their own SoC. Using fast NAND, calibrating their displays before selling ...etc, etc.

4GB RAM in samsung galaxy note 5 aggressively kill background apps. iphone 6 only has 1GB RAM but it has good multitasking performance, now double that experience on iphone 6S. that's why it's a big news (for apple user of course).

- adding a single video or image to your library is not nearly as easy or intuitive as opening up Windows Explorer and dragging-dropping stuff directly into folders on the device (like you can on Android)
- say you delete a couple of videos from your phone to make room for taking more pics. Resyncing from iTunes does NOT add the missing videos back, you have to unsync the videos from your phone, and resync it all back again.
- if your computer's HD eats itself, all the stuff on your phone is as good as dead
- retrieving photos from the camera roll is unnecessarily complicated because the photos get stored on several folders with unique cryptic names, and each folder does not necessarily contain the photos you want in chronological order
iTunes is the devil, and it is the #1 reason why I will not go back to an iPhone. I can deal with everything else, but iTunes is too much b.s.

Pure genius to have 2gb of RAM, this is Apple innovation. Why didn't anybody else think about putting 2gb RAM in their phones?? Why does Apple have to be the first to do it? This is incredible news.
Also, I love the Apple Pencil, another example of Apple innovation that nobody else was able to invent until now. Who needs a stylus when you have Pencils? I find it mind boggling that Apple had to be THE one to step up to the plate and invent the Pencil when nobody else was able to.
