I'm hoping they can resolve the microSD card support as that is the main reason not upgrading my Note4 to the S6 or Note5.

Well whatever samsung does they won't be able to prevent lag and slowness on their devices. My s4 used to lag too much and now note 4 is not much better. I don't know what ails samsung. What mismatch or glitch is there among different softwares. So Sammy first improve performance before launching new devices

The cpu's are fast enough, no matter which chip you choose, it's the gpu that matters, and Qualcomm know there adreno 430 was capable of dealing with 4k displays and their adreno 530 in the s820 will be almost twice as powerful, that's all that matters.

Samsung needs to stop producing flagships with 2 types of processors(exynos & snapdragon) for different regions. They need to stick to either snapdragon or either for the whole world .

I can bet with the GSMArena that the S7 will not have 5.7 inch display. Is a 100$ enough?

That's exactly my point in 2014. Qualcomm managed to be beat (quite handily) by a budget SoC. They must be ashamed, and people buying their chips are helping a bad company.

By now I'm convinced that Qualcomm doesn't know what they are doing if they resort to wooey language...

As for single core use, yeah single core is baaarely faster than an early 2015 SoC, congrats, do you want a medal? Also Single core use matters a lot less in android (we're not iOS here), just run "PS" on terminal emulator and you'd see myriads of little processes running at the same time.

The time that "more than 4 cores are useless" has long passed. So its baarely faster Single Thread performance does not impress me, especially since it has half the cores...

So S7 would be slower than S6? Stupid stupid Samsung if they are to use Qualcomm. I mean this company have some of the worst engineers in existence. They are practically a monopoly for oh so many years and they lose to newcomers (like the new LG) or low budget alternatives (Mediatek MT6595 anyone?), despite their far greater budget.

Hope these rumours are untrue because apart from restrictive (knox) and non upgradable (no replaceables) the new Samsungs will also lack performance.,.

It looks a bit like samsung might be getting away from note series. This years note is pretty much galaxy s with slightly changed design and stylus. So next year we could get two sizes of s7 lets say 5.2" normal and 5.7" s7 with stylus. And of course edge variants of both sizes and thats flagship lineup sorted. I just hope to be wrong.

Yeah this is what I want.
So Galaxy S7 will be 5.7 inch. Then Shitsung should dump the Note Series.
There's no point having both series.
                                        Come on baby.
