i have one suggestion to Sony Ericsson.
they could put all their efforts on Robyn as this model can become an icon as iphone. i believe strongly in Robyn and if they can keep this model as v1,v2,v3 etc they can have one hell of a phone.
as i said before if they stay with robyn and keep the mini factor for that phone and evolve it more for follow ups it could be a really money maker machine for SE and if they can keep price lets say 300 max 350 euro they will hit jackpot with mass production and selling tons and tons of this model.
new era is here, mini touch

am also hoping SE survives for the sake of competition but but they're going about thier business the wrong way. first of all they need to start making devices themselves cos that way at least they dont have to pay the supplier (the company that makes their phones). i've owned k800i and k850i, they both lagged badly and has some other problems, and of late SE has had problems with the satio and aino, which isn't good for their image.

i have moved onto HTC and am happy. they show a phone and a few months later its on the market for sale unlike SE, who show a phone at the beginning of the year like at MWC and release it about a year later by which time its out of date and way too expensive. SE seems to have a similar strategy to Microsoft, in that they promise one thing and do another. WinMo7 has had many delays and to keep people interested they made wm6.5/6.6, but to no avail. their market share is being eaten up by RIM, apple, android and i wont be surprised if WebOS also becomes a major player.

They announce phones early, release them late, overprice them, and there's over millions of bugs when shipped worldwide. SE don't announce phones when you haven't thoughourly tested them out and are almost ready to ship. The satio was an extremly EPIC FAIL. The x1 in my opinion was a fail in 2008, as I had one and returned it the next 2 hours of messing around with it. Selling high end phones with a symbian operating system? Not alot of people want that anymore Sony. Go android with your phones because it seems that's the only way they can make money. I hope the x10 does well, but honestly I doubt it when all these high end android phones are already out. I'll buy it though lol. They need more low and mid end phones for the other consumers out there. Not everyone can afford a $800-$1000 phones these days SE, c'mon.

If they only put on the market something unique, something that you truely want to have, than I would also buy it. And a lot of people, too. Back in the days, they where miles ahead in design. Today they are all the same. Boring.

where's their 5 megapixel touchscreen feature phone (lg arena, samsung jet style)? where are their budget touchscreen phones? the market's moved and they haven't copped on. they do make good phones but they need some new thinking or they are going under...release some cheap touchscreens and throw it all in the mid- and high-end into android and maybe they'll scrape by...

                    i am not surprised.

I was a very good SE fan but they disappointed me so many times. they are one thing and do something else. I was waiting for X1 so long as they were giving different releasing dates. at the end, i had enough, since then i never bought any SE.

SE, you will have work so hard to convince lots of your loyal customers.

Their only problem, they release their phones late and too over priced, and lack of support....they should follow Nokia's marketing strategies.

they are loosing because they gadgets - phones and cameras are overpriced (at least they are here in the philippines). They're selling here at almost twice the online prices. Since november they offered big discounts for their phones - prices which should have been the selling price in the first place

Vivaz, X10 and X2 are all 2009-gen phones (a la Omnia HD, N900 etc.)

What's more interesting is what they will announce for the Christmas season THIS year.

Perpahs it's a bit too early for a multi-core OMAP4 device, but that would certainly be a killer, considering how powerful single-core OMAP3-devices are!
