First of all, the original battery life is poor not good. I know you are probably business friends with HTC in some way but come on...! And judging from the picture above the phone looks terrible with the new battery.
It's all probably just a commercial move. The original battery should have been better so you wouldn't have to buy a better one! But why would it, when more money can be made this way! Of course the phone would have been bigger with a longer lasting battery but at least customers would get what they paid for. But in this way, HTC got away with a slim phone and now they even look like saviors for bringing a new longer lasting battery. It's a win win scenario! Is it not?

It's not going to be profitable if HTC spend their own time, money and manpower to design/develop accessories like this. It's just cost too much for HTC to go back for a separate add-on design. Almost 99% of time they will out-source the design and production to anonymous manufacture and HTC will place their label on.

this isnt 3rd party, it is an official product from HTC sold through official htc partners.

Well I just hope this works... most of time these third party company makes the crappies piece of crap on earth, people buying those crap just because the product itself is soooo famous and they don't mind paying extra %20 for something that's being made from some companies you've never heard of.
i.e. I have the Vaio UX, paid $150 for a extended battery (double capacity) which turns out last just about the same as the original one.

The problem with this phone is that its so large you're gonna need a purse to carry it. Some of you guys may carry purses, but I have not intention getting one.

I think what he is saying that iPhone is real phone because all it does is making call and doing sms. Some basic web browsing and playing songs, all in fancy way tho. It is REAL phone, not smart phone. But thanks to developrs who working so hard to make this a smartphone by their talents and iPhone is gaining all the fame in their account.

[deleted post]When u talk about real phone and u say iphone is first real phone. I should say either u have never used phone /iphone. Iphone has possibly worst call quality in high end segment. So please, to be real phone, at least it has to work good as call receiver and call dialer and able to hear call properly. thanks.

i think the phone is amazing had an iphone before and swaped for this i get nearly 2 days from normal use out my battery. i would buy this if it was not so expansive.

Finally. The battery wasn't that much of a problem for me. But the more the merrier. I will certainly get this one!
