Note to apple fans: Apple isn't profitable because it is better, it is profitable because people pay a much higher mark up on their products.
I'm not saying iphones are bad, nor am I saying that people shouldn't get iphones if they want them. What I am saying is using the profitability of a company to determine the quality of your product is asinine.
Android manufacturer sales are down not from a lack of demand but a dilution of the sales across more handset manufacturers. Generally from a value perspective the android phones are a much better deal as you're paying less into the manufacturers coffers and more covering manufacturing costs.

When they say Samsung smartphones, it covers other tiers from their portfolio besides their flagships as opposed to Apple which considers all their smartphone models as flagships, except for maybe the 5c (is it?). The S6 and S6 edge saw a price cut to make room for their Note5 and S6 edge+, simple as that. They wouldn't want to hurt the sales of their unsold S6 and S6 edge excesses by pricing them so close or just a tad less than the new S6 edge+. And realize, the Note5 and S6 edge+ were inevitably getting their release, we witnessed them so by their onset of leaks for the past few months as early as the day the S6 and S6 edge got official and Samsung already had those past few months to prepare the two successors (which should hint us that technology is not slouching and is not about to slack even the slightest second). 'Cause if their S6 and S6 edge were truly selling like hotcakes as others, credible or not, claim them to be, would they really need an immediate successor (S6 edge+)? And if so that they didn't proceed with the pseudo-successor/(im)proper successor (referring to S6 edge+ for having minor upgrades) to the S6 flagship duo, a price cut shouldn't have also been witnessed
TLDR;
Samsung smartphones cover not only their flagship as opposed to Apple which consider most if not all their smartphones as flagships; no immediate price cuts if no immediate successor(s); if no immediate successor(s) then very slow to a little slow slashing of prices

anyway one simple question , if s6 and its variants are/were selling well , then what is the reason for its massive price cut ?? do you think samsung is doing charity ?

Interesting fact is that samsung still sell more than 100million more handsets...maybe more importantly is that apple doesnt make a thing ..its just a name so when samsung make 67% of the iphone who really benefits .....its a simple fact that all the crapple fan boys (otherwise known as the scribblers and drbblers of the world ) just dont see and cant comprehend (not surprising really..is it)

I returened my s6 after seeing how laggy it became after installing my apps,plus it overheated quickly,was expecting more of the screen aswell,at outdoors the s6 will peak brightness make the battery drain very quickly..now im with the LG G4 its a great phone.

Again, for all we care samsung can ship out a billion phones, that said it's absolutely useless if it does those phones does not reach a end user. All we know it's samsung can ship 500 million phones at will sit in the inventory of their own stores.

Nothing new or interesting is happening anymore in the world of mobile phones! I am back to my old reliable Galaxy S2, perfect size and I can use it as a phone and read e-mails and surf the web, just as I would use S6! S6 is still too small for playing games and for any longer surf on Internet!

In term of speed, reliability, usability, shareability, screen quality, iphone 6/6P/6S/6Sp all lose to flagship android phones, period.
