I would not say that the European version is a loser because it came out first in 2009.

The HD2 that we are getting in the US is an updated version for 2010. And 2010 is when WM7 will be released.

Anyway, it is an awesome deal with the extended battery, even without stereo speaker and 8MP camera.

any htc phone has a GREAT dev community (check out xda)

screw cracked apps, u can dl full versions of the original with no limitations, etc....once u know which devs to follow (on twitter---namely @jesusxxx__X) u can mostly have any app thats available on the market anywhere---most apps require u have at least cupcake-1.6..
the devs usually have github, mediafire, etc. acct where they have a stash of source codes, roms, themes, apps, everything....just gotta know where to look! this is the beauty of open-source...

i see a lot of ppl complain about not having paid apps everywhere, but all u need to do is find the android devs!

Nexus One is a great device however Android platform is still not for those regions not covered by the paid app availability since most of the free apps just don't cut it for any serious work..

...Also Android still doesn't have cracked apps (corect me if I'm wrong) like MS WinMO or Apple iTunes.

It is a great platform and from my experience it will outperform all the rest but in about a year time when it matures and gains a better developer attention like Apple's users enjoy.

This is such a dissapointment to all European HD2 owners. It just basically says "sucks to be a looser for getting a lowered specs and acessory device at the same price" right in your face. Very lame, HTC!

I was planning on purchasing this device but I'm foreced to find an alternative. Anybody got any suggestion on a similarry specd device? It should have Winmo 6.5. Cheers..

                                    Don't worry you'll be able to get a HD3 before HTC release a HD4.

its interesting to know that T-mobile HTC HD2 is giving 576MBRAM and 1GB ROM and also 16 GB Micro SD. We also need similar HTC-HD2 in europe. When HTC will deliver like this Mobile to Europe and in which month .
