They are all seeking market share by whatever means. Hardware is the driver, and perception of what the device can do for you. Software is way behind the leaps in hardware, and has been always. Google makes its money from Android by marketing the data it collects from your Android device, that is, what you sell to them for free. Understand?

They can't help shooting themselves in the foot. Like the classic I knew loads of people wanted until they saw the price.

Privy means toilet in the UK and by I would guess Aus and Nz at least. It's also quite close to 'privates'. Venice was was fine. Knox or Zurich would also have done if secure was the sort of name they were looking for.

                  Do it BlackBerry!
                  Android is your only hope.
Windows mobile is losing international market share daily (which is a failure imo). You don't want to get involved with a company that can bring down the likes of Nokia! Android has circa 78% international market share. Feed off their familiarity & huge app base resource but add the BB security and UI - this will sell like hot cakes.
Do it. Do it now before it's too late and don't look back!

or70, 24 Sep 2015Blackberry is securing Samsung Knox... BlackBerry is trying* to secure Knox.

But since it's Android, it will be impossible to secure it. Android is just a toy OS, made for teenagers who want to show off.

This device will eventually determine Blackberry's fate in my opinion. If this is successful, Blackberry will have the opportunity to come back to the market. If it's a flop, BB is dead. end of story.

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2015Well, it's not as stupid as Doogee phones, so calm down :D ... moreYou know Doogee smartphone too. Me too. I know right. These people buy phone for its name. I guess that is why people keep buying Apple. Blackberry is a fruit too. I wonder why people think Priv won't sell well. The name doesn't imply any silly sound or any other meaning. Any people relate the word Priv to perv is sick!
