And no it is not superior because it is not even stabilization.
It's extremely fast focus. It would work A LOT better combined with OIS.
In fact a number of other phones with OIS also have phase detection. Just each time a new phone comes out with it they improve it's speed. This time around it's Sony's turn.
Phase detection was in fact introduced to phones by Samsung. Though many apple articles are stating that the iphone 6 did it of course.

1. Exynos 7420... moreDon't forget OIS and less aggressive processing....Which I think in turn is because of lack of OIS.
The only thing I don't agree with is that their screens are bad. In fact they are some of the best. They have beautiful Triluminous displays. Yes the Amoled is better, but the Z3 had a great display and sunlight legibility even on phones like the Z1 and Z2 is a lot better than people were lead to believe.

the phone could be a Little better with..
1. Exynos 7420 instead of SD810.
2. 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM.
3. 128 GB internal storage.
4. 8 or 13 MP Front camera.
5. 3100 mah battery instead of 2900. (it's thickness is similar to Xperia Z3 which include 3100mah battery)
6. SuperAMOLED panel.( their LCD panels are bad..low sunlight legibility... low constrast...Delta Graysclae is very high...black levels not good)
and BTW I'm A BIG SONY FANBOY..and still love all their phones. just make them little better SONY.!

You are obviously a samsung fanboy and you are trying to point down a winner, and that's Sony which is getting back in business. Like it or not Z5 is the best camera phone to date and whatever you say "Sony will fail" and "Sony's mobile devision will end" they made it clear that that won't happen, period.
So why don't you take your samsung puppies who vote up your comments and go back to samsung pages because this post is certainly a pain to watch ain't it? Sony has the best camera? Wow can you believe that?
You forget that Sony is an entire empire in technology and cameras, eventually they would step back in the camera game. Sony Z series never had a bad camera to begin with, just not as good as the competition.
however, this changes now. It's the others who aren't as good as Sony. That's why you are negative, and that's why samsung fails!

For a phone, that's just amazing. But some people tend to forget that it's a phone, not an RX100 rival or something, and get all hysterical.
PS: The RX100 3 (better value for money than 4) is the best pocket/compact camera around.
