but i guess with SE losing millions every year they figured that saving probably half a million dollars by taking away a feature that only 1% use is for the better,
but you can still use the rear camera your dieing for video call

Y android Powered phone has no videocall camera.i mean front camera..bcoz android was created by americans and americans dont use videocalling?how about the rest of d world?videocalling is vry im4tant.or americans r jaz stupid like fring offeres videocalling for iphone but how can u optimized videocall when u have no front.its only the See what I see mode?it only uses the rear camera.come on guys.videocalling is im4tant f u have unlimited data,have heard skype?

FYI the X10 supports 16 million colours but because it was intended to be released with Android 1.6 (which supports up to 65 000 colours) the colours don't go up to 16 million. Do a research before falsely accusing SE of being unreasonable. The only chink in this phone's armour is the version of the os it is likely to be shipped with, assuming that it will come with 1.6 though there's a number of rumours stating otherwise. Then there's SE's sickness of delays after delays which is really doing them great harm. I don't think the price is a problem considering the hardware and if they do offer an upgrade to 2 or 2.1 then it would be worth every penny.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2010whats outdated with the x10? the 1GH snapdragon,maybe the ... moredid i say that the x10 is outdated???i said by the time of release it will be outdated by its competitors...x10 will be a cool phone if it was released this month..like what it was planned. motorola droids was release 1-2 months ago, iam not comparing the two phones.i said is a good comeback from motorola try to compete with nexus one.ok you are right about 1ghz snapdragon & 8mp camera,why don't u mentioned the 65k color screen,v1.6 android os,cheap plastic material and the most important release date comming soon...i am not a fan of any particular brand my current phone is the satio and was waiting for the x10 but becuase of its furthur delay that really put people off..hope sonyericsson can learn from its mistake....do u not agree???

X10 is not outdated. Well, the OS still remains to be seen, but generally it is an OK phone.
The problem is - it is not special. If it had been launched at the end of 2009 it would have been a killer. Now, there are so many Android phones with even more announced so X10 will drown in them. Plus, SE will price it too high. So only the hardest core SE fans will buy it. Not a very good company strategy...

like many i've been waiting for the X10..
so its gonna be out in April, than we gotta wait at least 2 months for the price to cool down to almost affordable so July...
ok by that time the HTC SuperSonic and Brovo and other spectular Droids are gonna be hitting the market in Aug/Sep
Sorry SE but it wanted this in Dec or Jan.. but April probably not

SE quite late to releasing this new product, as their other new 'coming soon' products. SE should be more aggresive, meanwhile its competitor moving faster improving their products in order to win the market. I like SE, I like the design mostly, but SE movement is very slow improving their technology innovation and commonly overprice. SE makes their fans upset, thats why many SE products fail in the market last year.

Wasn't this announced at CES 2009 last January? That makes it a official record for late release. 1 year and 4 months after the announcements and showcase at CES 2009 the phone is being relased, if it even does make it to April, might be even later. SE are digging their own graves with their ultra slow motion world record announcement to release ratio. There are a host of HTC androids, Nokias and Samsungs being released in second quarter, and they were just announced recently.

As much as a love this phone and support SE. They need to be quicker on these releases or they need to stop announcing so early. At this rate they will go bankrupt and all of us will jump onto the HTC or nokia boat. They have a better chance at competing with the iphone. Cmon SE, do something right for once.

I so wanted this phone but when i heard at work that we would not be getting it for a few months, then we dropped the X2 and Satio i decided to take a shot at the Nexus One and i do not regret it. Been a SE user for 5 years but it is time to say goodbye for now.

if they make this phone as windows mobile 6.5 for sure it will hit in the market i like the way they built the phone its unique tons of amazing UI and its fun to play with ohhhh
sonyericsson pls. make windows same as this specks.

what do you say X10 is expired??
the handset use processor Snapdragon 1 GH,,and the camera is 8 MP..
look the competitor,,they only have processor below X10 and camera 5 MP,,so don't judge it before you have it..
X10 just lose in the OS

and this delay will probably mean that it will come with android 2.1 but they said it will be even further upgradable so software won't be outdated even when newer android systems come

oh sorry for the wrong info the experia was born on FEB. 2008 according to GSMARENA soo its been two years... wow now thats a keeper.. hayy naku
