honey, 05 Aug 2016Who update your software can u tell me how to make 6.0Gain root access.flash twrp or clockworkmod recovery using fastboot.download cm13 rom to root of sd. Reboot recovery. Factory data reset. Flash/install zip from sd card (cm13). Wipe Calvin cache. Reboot system.give up to 10 minutes to finish first reboot. Go to xda devolpers and research all of this before attempting. If do 1 little thing wrong you will have an expensive paper weight. Very simple process yet complicated. Xda explains exactly how to do it with all the download links. Good luck flashing! Always make a backup up of your phone before attempting to flash anything. Remember xda xda xda xda xda! But I ended up going back to stock based Lollipop, reason?, without LG's appis for the cameras you just can't get the same quality on pictures, if you choose to use CM13 or any ROM that is not based on stock, you'll be leaving the camera with OIS behind alongside its 60 FPS.

I'm an engineer but not savvy in Android. Can you provide instructions for how to take my LG G2 VS980 4G LTE HW rev 1.0 phone back to Kitkat? My wife loves the phone but its battery dies and sometimes overheats ever since I loaded lollipop last year. BTW: I've recently replaced the battery so the phone will be good as new if Verizon/LG hadn't broken it.

I feel like LG left us in a crappy place with leaving the phone with 5.0.2.

I was also waiting for the... moreI have mine crossed too because the fact is that performace is not an issue having in count that the phone performs way better than g3 and ram should not be an issue either if we keep in mind that g3 has a 2g variant and other mid-low end manufactured by them has 1.5 gb so the available ram is less than we have ........ I heard about that too that lg was not giving 5.1.1 not even to the g3 so they decided to jum straight to 6.0 well I still see a small light of hope due to lg g flex 2 is just getting the update and the phone is a flaghship grade too ... so after that one lg G2 should be next ... g4,v10,g3,g5 and some midrangers has the update already so im keeping my hope up keep in mind that g4 beat has not received it yet.

I was also waiting for the 5.1.1 to be released, and apparently LG did not like it so it was never released which is complete BS. I'm still waiting for word on if we are getting the Marshmallow update for the G2, but my fingers are crossed.

lg has done nothing ... the update process has been way slow this time for the 6.0.1 update they denied 5.1.1 as anopportunity for the g2 to shine with the powerfull hardware it has but instead they left it death with the f***ing and buggy 5.0.2 wich is crap beautifull interface .. but lacks in a lot of things such camer aspeed such an eternity if decide to complete a master reset to optimize its apps , and some like me getting issues with Wi-Fi some times .... the 5.1.1 was set to be released back in 2015 the decided to update crappy phones but no the g2 ....... they were suppose to put 6.0 on g3 and 5.1.1 on g2 and trust me no complaint with that but I want the f**ing issues to be fixed.

DaveMT1978, 06 Jun 2016I've also read that Verizon have just released Marshmallow ... moreThat I'm aware of they are releasing the 6.0.1 to the LG G2 on the Verizon Network, but there has not been an official release date for it. I do know the Samsung Galaxy S5 was just updated and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, so I'm going to say it'll be some time in the foreseeable future.

I've also read that Verizon have just released Marshmallow for the LG G2. Can someone confirm? I'm assuming if Verizon have indeed done this then Android 6 will soon come to carrier unlocked phones. I'm swaying between buying a LG G2 or waiting for the Blackberry Hamburg.
