I prefer that my xperia z1 does not get updated to 6.0 than to get an update similar to the 5.0 one. 5.1.1 is again great... I would not risk update to 6.0 if I knew that there will be no support after that.

Hahaha, Z1 Compact and Z3 Compact have basically the same specs, yet Z1C won't recieve Android 6? There isn't a single Android device which gets updates for longer than 2 years and that is just crazy.

My friend is using xperia ZR and kitkat and lollipop both updates were horrible at least according to me. He bought it in last august and due to some problems company replaced his device in last november. And from this september his Xperia ZR has headphone jack problem. No headphones are working in his mobile. And soon in 2 days whenever he call to anyone he is not able to heard opposite person voice. So he again goes to Sony service centre and they said sorry we don't repair xperia Z series. If your device is in warranty we would have been replace it bt now sorry. I was SONY fan and I only suggest him to buy Xperia ZR. Bt now wont tell anyone to buy Sony. Not expected from Sony brand
