Trouble is it's not the phones so much anymore, it's the services they host. Google apps and photos and maps are so mainstream, Apple is there as well.Microsoft need to have google integration like Apple.

Take note that widows phone doesn't require ultra fast chips to run. Btw, most apps now are available on all os. So hoping by December they cut price a bit.
