jasdeep, 19 Feb 2010se belongs to sony and sony belongs to japan i.e. best ... moreAs a huge SE fan (and worker) I can tell you that SE is NOT owned by Sony (Its a 50:50 venture), And the tecnology side of things comes from Ericsson - SONY Is the Marketing / branding etc.

Plus the best tech does not come from Japan at all - prob Germany I would imagine.

jasdeep, 19 Feb 2010nokia has very cheap technology. There are some minor faults... moreThats bs what you said about nokia.Consider the n95,all you have to do is slide it up to unlock the screen and the same song is playing. The n97 has a switch on the side to bring the screen back on while the same song will be playing.I have both these phones.

                Stop making up lies.

nokia has very cheap technology. There are some minor faults but are most disturbing like if we r listening to music in music player and due to standby the lights gets off and if we hav to glow light without changing the track then we cant use d pad and other non keypad buttons bcoz dng that track will be changed. One more thing if we see a image from some angle to the ph then the image seems to b blackish and unclear. So these are very basic things.Nokia dont hav their basics right and they are unnecessarily gng forward.Se is great in both the things

Maybe you need to look up Nokia E-series and Classic series that has won tons of awards for design and smilness whilst still packing 5mp camera, flash support, 3G, multitasking, multimedia and 3.5 mm jacks, micro SD card slot then please come back and tell how fat they are. It's a well known fact that Nokia users like N-series that way. I would not want N-series to be like E-series och Classic series.

Believe it or not, the charm of the N-series is just that thicker size you are talking about, it feels great and sturdy in the hand, and they make em that way on purpose to their 400 million N-series fans, Nokia can make a slim phones packed with specs like the other slim series they have.

N-series are mobile computers loaded with the most powerful OS in the world, Symbian, even though the OS is ugly it's still the best.

Doest't take a genius to click on the left hand column on this site to find out how many phones Apple has released so far...

Or did you expect your smartphone (apparently not Apple) to figure that out for you?

Bl, 18 Feb 2010The highlight of the show no doubt was Windows Phone 7 Seri... moreYeah i agree, Sony Ericsson has totally lost the plot. You can't pre-announce the making of a phone i last years MWC and still not have released by this years MWC. I used to be SE user but gor damn tired of their horrible announce to release ratio.

Apple is nothing i really care about, i'm not stupid enough to pay for the same phone over and over again, this time iPhone upgrade will probably be a brand new calculator that does equations or something, but i have no doubts the Mactards and iApples will be running to stores in June get their annual brainwashing.

Me myself have been using Blackberry 9700 for awhile now and it's really kinda superb phone if you are serious about using your phone as a worktool and be productive, not just dicking around with halfbreed 1 dollar barely working 3rd party apps made by 9 year olds for 9 year olds, like Apple users.

My iPhone 3G has been in the closet since i got the Blackberry, i feel that my IQ doubled up after switching to RIM from Apple.

I have used quite a few Nokias and i really like them in the same prductive worktool intelligent way i like Blackberries. I think Nokias is holding back this MWC so they can drop a bomb soon.

But isnät that what Nokia usually does? The barely show stuff att MWC. I think they have their own show later in March sometime? But anyway, i'm really really curious what Nokia is gona be bringing this year.

Alot of people at work have the Nokia N900, and it's probably one of the best pieces of technology i have seen yet, every says it's a computer first, a phone second.

I think 2010 is going to be a pretty dull year for smartphones despite all these promises and hype from the manufacturers and that the top end phones from last year will be headlining the top range phones this year sadly. HTC Supersonic/Obsession will be little more than pipe dreams and the super nokia phone everyone is pining for won't be released till next year and you can bet your bottom dollar that the iphone 4g will be pretty much the same. The recession is pretty much over, last year's Mobile world congress just seemed so much more exciting and the year before that too. It's a bad move by Sony Ericsson that XPERIA X10, a phone annouced a year ago, is this year's flagship sony ericsson smartphone. You keep upsetting customers, you don't fulfil your promises of or wow them, they WILL switch to something that does, and it just seems that from this year's showing alone, that may be Windows Phone 7 Series with the HTC HD2, a phone released from 2009, will be the flagship phone running it. Vry very lazy backward thinkng from the manufacturers with no vision whatsoever.
