The next iPhone might be powered by Intel chips

17 October, 2015
Industry sources hint at an ongoing partnership between the two giants that could result in an Intel LTE modem inside Apple's phone and perhaps even an Intel SoC.

Ofcourse they gonna change cpu bcos A chips series NEVER belonged to (cr)apple company!
They had this chip from university in wisconsin
They both probably fell out with each other so this happened ..
Apple is one milky company which has architectures or ideas and all of these doesn't belong them !
What is their only is just fake design which confuses ppls(MOST) brain via eyes..
They used to have IBM chips in their desktop/laptop products but again they had to argue so they fell out with IBM in first place..
I really wonder when they start arguing with intel.. they will start using amd chips maybe in future :DDDD

the future is about compatibility of app stores

apple should allow iphone apps to work on windows phone, android
microsoft should allow windows apps to run on android and iphones
if an app is submitted via google then google will earn commission for hosting and serve ads via google
if an app is submitted via itunes then apple will earn commission for hosting and serve ads via their network

end users in windows, google or apple platform might be able to choose any play store to download their apps

        wish that happens!

Utter nonsense, Apple CPU division has taken years to get upto where they are today, market leaders in mobile SOC performance and viability. Intel is total cr@p in SOC for any segment.

Apple is looking to replacing Intel in everything for the long run, they are just waiting for ARM server players to pick up speed before committing to high end ARM based computing for client laptops and desktops.

If they need Intel and Intel needs Apple it's okey. What Apple should think more is new battery tech. Maybe you tech writers want to praise CPUs but that have not been issue for years.
All phonemakers should unite their forces and make better batteries that really can last a week or two. For me is really hard to buy a phone nowdays. First issue is still price. Over 600 euros or 650 dollars is too much. Second is batterylife. 1-1,5 days is nothing.

Apple can any day add 2 more cores and wipe the floor with any other SoC. It's just that atm it doesn't need these extra two cores to be the best.

Intels on mobiles are like AMDs on desktop: "next year it would be the best", except that "next year" never comes and instead the slide continues.

I doubt A10 would be x86, but if it is ... poor apple. It would be the first time that an older apple (a9) would be faster than the " new one " (a10).

If Intel could get more seriously into the mobile market it would definitely be a good thing. It would be nice to have more competition for the Qualcomm/Samsung duopoly.
