I'm afraid to ask, but here goes: What is the screen/body ratio?

AnonD-457728, 21 Oct 2015I totally love how this phone looks. It may look like a rip... moreAgree, we ordered 3. I think the device is pretty dam good. Its going to look and feel just as good. I watched the presentation twice http://www.gsmarena.com/watch_the_htc_one_a9_livestream_here-news-14577.php
and I am impressed with the overall concept and various capacity it has in terms of photographic innovation, refined process for battery conservation and the amoled sharpness in a cool smooth body. Probably a bit bigger than I wanted but it strikes a medium point between IPhone 6s and + and with better specs than the 6 which I also like. cant wait for the A9 to be delivered.

I think that who made this article got confused with the options "unlocked" and "developer"
If you unlock the bootloader of an unlocked HTC phone, the warranty will be voided
The Developer edition have the bootloader unlocked, and if you do something with the bootloader of a developer edition, it will not void the warranty
          http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-one-unlocked-developer/
The A9 is coming (as far as I can see) as the unlocked version, not the developer version.
So don't get confused and then complain on why HTC is not fixing your "unlocked" bootloader unlocked phone in warranty
          Unlocked ≠Developer

I totally love how this phone looks. It may look like a ripped off iPhone but oh well people. HTC did start the aluminum body first. This is there mid range phone so it's not gonna be up there with the higher end phones out, so let's not compare a camaro to a corvette. Plus if I'm not wrong we still have until next year for HTC to announce there higher end phone sometime in March, hopefully. This phone is a start and I miss having an android, so HTC you have my pre-order.

u said it, it is not a high end processor.

We will see the Performance Benchmark.
then, We will see this Mid Range Snap 617 will stand against Snap 810 and the Beast Exynos 7420 in Note 5 and S6 Edge + .

AnonD-457627, 21 Oct 2015Hi friend. You know that HTC one a9. I have one question th... morebecause this is a $400 dollar phone.

only a mid range phone, not high end phone.
thus, a base model A9 only start with snap 617, and 2gb ram + 16gb internal only.

Samsung note 5 and S6 edge+ with highest end processor.
come with 32gb and 4gb ram as the base spec.

The $700 price you mentioned is set by the carrier (Sprint Mobile). Now why Sprint chose to price it that high is beyond my understanding.

this is the HTCs last shot.every thing well suited in a metal box and attractively priced at 400$
but when I read without contract prices from carriers belived that HTC have very low profit margins on this phone (if any)
so this isn't gona to save this old beloved company

                                        1. yeah, but it uses Cortex a57, not Cortex a72.
Snap 620 will use Cortex a72. latest version.

u cant compare this tech with something that is not out yet...it is none sense is like saying why we dont have sd820 on sony z5 or why note 5 has not new exynos chipset.

                                        2. Snap 617 - 28nm die cast processor.
what? this is so 2013 technology.

yeah it may be 2013 process but proved to be good and came with a lot of improvements im a fan of custom cores like krite or kryo than thos with the big litthe s**it cortex

                                        Snapdragon is 20nm.
                                        Samsung made Apple A9 processor = 14nm
                                        Samsung Exynos 7420 for Note 5 , S6 Edge + = 14nm.

yeah but he is talking about A8 not A9 wich is latest

                                        technology:
                                        28,22,20,16,14 nanometer.....

                                        so, 28nm?
                                        how many generation behind?

a few ones yes but raw power and bech are not all we need ... because we have had powerfull chiptsets with terrible cameras or poor audio ... so why bother with that insted a balanced device is ideal for this....

even a snap dragon s4 pro krait core is capable to move any game we have currently on market and os with no problem .. what we need is good audio good camera and most important than all that u only u who purchased the device are satisfied not ur neighbor or unknown troll or heater that never is happy with anything even with the one that owns ....... my device is a g2 not the best but is able to match current devices performance being old tech 2013 not overheating issues like newer processors or having ram and cache issues like s6 line ...for me is able to survive another couple of years ... ask me if im interested in low end grapich cards couple with processors like helio x10 has wich is ** high end ** or mid mtk or kirin chipsets ..... i only care about what i have thst it.
